Abstract
250,177. Simmen, O. April 6, 1925, [Convention date]. Pumping machines. -An axial flow pump, particularly adapted for circulating hot water through central heating systems, has an impeller which forms the armature f of the driving electric motor. The spindle carrying the rotor is supported in bearing members m which are connected to the casings a, b by webs l, and the bearings may be lubricated by the fluid pumped. The stator d of the motor forms part of the pipe system and the parts a, b are similar and interchangeable. A water-tight partition k is provided between the stator and the rotor, but it allows heat generated by the current in the stator to pass to the water.
