Stapling, hand tools for. - In a bench-type stapling device of the kind described in Specification 26201/13, in which the plunger a has a bladelike cutting and driving extension b, this extension is provided with a. strengthening rib e which has a preferably curved face e<1> bearing against the wall of the plunger housing c. The inner face of the extension has a sliding contact at f<1>, f<2> with two spaced bearing faces g<1> in the base of the plunger bearing. The staple-strip stop i is formed with a groove i<1> to give clearance for the rib e.
