Rollers, treating; centreless grinding.-In a machine for grinding rollers, rings, &c.. two grinding-discs a, b are employed, between which the rollers are ground, the rollers, or cages containing them, being caused by centrifugal force to roll around a ring closing the gap between the discs and separate therefrom. Fig. 2 shows cages c having apertures d to contain the rollers e which may be placed in the apertures so that either their curved surfaces, or their end surfaces are ground. The dises may rotate in opposite directions; the cages may be either circular or elliptical.
