Abstract

Holding-tools; reachers and longarms.-A device for forcing a resilient cylindrical cover 2 over a sprinkler head on a ceiling comprises a cylindrical holder 5, Fig. 6, on a pole 4. For removing the cover, a pole 4<a> carrying spring arms 6, Fig. 4, is used. For applying the cover to an upright head the tool shown in Fig. 8 is used, comprising a pole 4, spring jaws 5<c> and a thrust member 5b. For applying a cover which remains in place as the result of a partial rotation, the tool comprises a holder 5<d> formed with slots 5f to engage projections on the cover.
