Abstract

530,400. Sprinkler heads. GRIFFITH, W. B. June 22, 1939, No. 18232. [Class 47 (ii)] A sprinkler head comprises a T-shaped lever 20 pivoted at 21 to a resilient strut 18 one end of the short arm 22 of the lever being engaged by an adjustable abutment 10 while the long arm 23 is fitted with a stop 25 in contact with the opposite part of the strut 18 and backed by fusible material 27 in a pocket 26. The strut 23 is U-shaped and is carried by a closure 16 for the pipe 6. The arms of the strut may be of waved formation to increase its resilience.
