Abstract

Circulating or pass ing fluids through ma terials. - In apparatus for dyeing hat bodies the bath is introduced tangentially at the bot tom so as to pass through the container with an ascending rotary motion. The bodies a are supported on a perforated shape 1 within the container 2 to which the liquid is admitted by the tangential pipe 3 from a circulating pump, a pipe 6 returning the liquid passing through the bodies to the reservoir. Air escapes by a vent 4, to which a pipe 5 is connected to lead escaping liquid back to the reservoir. A number of containers may be served by one pump.
