Abstract

A deodorizing cartridge comprising a deodorizing solution, ventilation panels 1.1 and a sliding tab 1.2 attached to adjustable ventilation covers. The cartridge may contain silica gel and may release a fragrance. The cartridge may be placed underneath the sole of a trainer shoe, adjacent to the heel. The sliding tab may appear externally from the shoe allowing the ventilation panels to be moved. The bottom of the cartridge may be seen from the base of the shoe, displaying the deodorizing solution.

Description

Inbuilt heel mounted deodorizer for training shoes Title [1] Inbuilt heel mounted deodorizer for training shoes
Background of the Invention
[2] The present invention relates to a trainer shoe deodorizer and in particular those designed in the form of a cartridge that is to be inserted into the heel of the shoe to eliminate odours and kill bacteria, suitable for footwear for men, women and children.
[3] Footwear deodorizers in the form of scented insoles and fragranced sprays used to kill bacteria and eliminate odours are known in the art. Footwear deodorizers that can be compactly inserted into the shoe, such as scented insoles that mask unpleasant smells, are also known in the art.
[4] Deodorizers such as air fresheners, cat litter and the like are known to contain silica gel which has the function of eliminating odours and killing bacteria by absorbing any moisture, are known in the art.
Brief Summary and Advantags of the Invention
[5] The preceding demonstrates an evident need for an inbuilt device for the prevention of odour and bacteria within footwear.
I
[6] It would be advantageous for the deodorizer to be stored within a compact cartridge casing so that it can be incorporated within the heel of a trainer shoe.
[7] It would be preferable for the cartridge to contain a silica gel which has the capability of neutralising odour and diminishing bacteria.
[8] It would be advantageous for the cartridge to be replaceable once its composition has been exhausted by simply lifting the sole of the shoe to disengage the device so that the user is able to benefit from having odourless footwear.
[9] It would be advantageous for the cartridge to have an affixed tab member that is able to adjust the level of fragrance that is released through the shoe vents.
Brief Descriptions of Drawings
[10] The components of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings.
[11] Figure 1 displays the top view of the cartridge ventilation outlet [12] Figure 2 displays the side view of the cartridge including the base [13] Figure 3 displays the front isometric view of the cartridge device [14] Figure 4 displays the rear isometric view of the cartridge device.
Detailed Description of the Invention
[15] The inbuilt deodorizer cartridge comprising, ventilation panels, adjustable ventilation covers, deodorizing solution and its mountable container structure is represented by isometric front, rear, top and side views in figures 1 to 4.
[16] The cartridge is mounted within the trainer shoe as demonstrated by the position in (figure 2) by lifting the sole and placing the device underneath to allow the rear of the device (figure 4, 1.3) to be pressed along the back panel of the shoe and allowing the circular ventilation panels to be exposed underneath the sole of the shoe (figure 1, 1.1).
[17] The shape of the top of the cartridge device is slimmed towards the front (1.5) and increased in width at the rear (figure 3, 1.3) to ensure an optimal fit adjacently to the heel as well as being further sunk vertically below the front of the cartridge in a drum like shape at a 90 degree angle to the heel (1.2) . This will allow for the cartridge to be exposed at the base of the trainer as well as having the capability of holding a larger quantity of the deodorizing solution.
[18] The interior of the cartridge (figure 2) contains silica gel which acts as an absorbent, diminishing bacteria and unpleasant odour, allowing for the fragrance to be released from the air ventilation panels which are placed above the solution and underneath the sole (1.4) [19] The cartridge ventilation panels and vent covers (figure 1, 1.1, 1.4), should be placed directly underneath the sole at the top of the device and fragranced solution, allowing for a sufficient ventilation of the footwear through the cartridge vent panels (1.1) as well as the through ventilation holes that are part of the footwear.
[20] The panel located at the rear of the device (figure 4, 1.3) has attached an adjustable tab which can be slid from left to right in order to rotate the affixed fan shaped ventilation covers either exposing or concealing the ventilation panels. This allows the user to control the concentration of fragrance that is released through the sole of the shoe.
[21] The base of the cartridge (1.2) should be visible from the bottom of the shoe as it is vertically extended in shape allowing the user to view the amount of content of the cartridge.
[22] It would be advantageous for the cartridge device to be of a universal size (figure 3) so that it is compatible with various sizes of footwear for use within men, women's and children's shoes.
[23] Once the deodorising solution within the cartridge is exhausted it will be apparent through the base of the shoe where by the cartridge can be viewed to be empty (figure 4). The cartridge can be disengaged by lifting the sole of the shoe and raising the front and rear end of the cartridge from the top. This can then be replaced by a new fragranced filled cartridge.
