Abstract

A leaf collecting device comprises a box formed of a plurality of prongs 1 or tines separated along their length by spaces 3. The device may be propelled across the ground by wheels which may be height adjustable. The box may have side panels which may have fixing points to attach a removable handle

Leaf Collector
Background
This invention relates to the collection of fallen leaves from any lawn or grassed area.
Statement of invention
This invention has the use of a multi pronged collection box in variable sizes to suit small or large grassed areas.
Advantages This invention can be light enough to operate and empty manually.
This invention does not use electric or gas or engine fuel such as petrol or diesel.
This invention is pushed manually across the lawn or grassed area with the use of a handle.
This invention is designed to comb the grass to clean out dead or fallen leaves.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows the complete collection box, minus the handle as shown in fig5/7.
Shown are the gathering prongs I with separating spaces 3.
These holes 6 are for decorative purposes only and also apply less weight to the overall construction of the invention.
Figure 2 shows the intended shape of the prongs 1 and also the fixing points 2 tor securing the various sections of the unit together.
Figure 3 shows the intended layout of the prongs 1 with the separating spaces 3 the proposed position of the wheels 4... and the side panels A with the various fixing points 2 and the handle fixing position 5.
It is proposed to have the front wheels adjustable up and down to allow for the various depths of the grass.
Figure 4 shows one of two side panels A and handle fixing points 5 and the fixing points 2 for the unit and the wheels 4.

  1. Claims Claims 1. A multi pronged collection box for the collecting of leaves.
  2. 2. A multi pronged collection box according to claim 1, that is pushed by the use of a removable handle.
  3. 3. A multi pronged collection box according to claim 1, in which it is propelled across the ground on wheels.
    4 A multi pronged collection box according to claim 3, in which the ground wheels are height adjustable.Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows Claims Claims 1.   5. 5. A multi pronged collection box according to claim 1, with vented side panels to which the ground wheels according to claim 3, are attached to front and rear.
  6. 6. A multi pronged collection box according to claim 1, in which the front ground wheels according to claim 3, are height adjustable to accommodate different grass depths.
  7. 7. A multi pronged collection box according to claim 1, with vented side panels, according to claim 5, which incorporates the fixing points for the removable handle according to claim 4.
  8. 8. A multi pronged collection box according to claim 1, which incorporates spaces to separate each prong along the full length of its curved -L shape, according to claim 2.

A multi pronged collection box according to claim 1, in which the collection box as a whole (the removable handle, the curved -L shaped prongs, vented side panels, spaces, and ground wheels) are constructed in a upvc format, with metal rods to hold and fix all the parts of the collection box together. r a S a.' *S a*.* **
