Abstract

The invention discloses a small engraving device which includes a machine body 10, a horizontal mounting means 20, a work tray 17, a main vertical mounting means 30, a subsidiary vertical mounting means 301 and a tool 50. The work tray 17, the main vertical mounting means 30 and the subsidiary vertical mounting means 301 respectively have a motor 13, 21, 40 to drive a corresponding belt (15, fig.6), 22, 32 and slide rods 14, 24, 34 so that the work tray 17 can move in Y direction, the main vertical mounting means 30 in x direction and the subsidiary vertical mounting means 301 in Z direction. The work tray 17 is used to hold the work piece. The tool 50 is mounted on the subsidiary vertical mounting means 301. The tool 50 is driven to move by a main axial motor 40 and the movement of the main vertical mounting means 30 and the subsidiary vertical mounting means 301 to perform formation of patterns on the work piece. A controller (60, fig.2) is connected to the small engraving device via a wire or wirelessly.

Description

SMALL ENGRAVING DEVICE
BACKGROUND OF THE TNVENTION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an engraving device, more specifically, to a small engraving device which has small volume, is able to connect to a personal computer, uses driving belts, and has a controller via a wire and wirelessly.
RELATED PRIOR ART
In the art, a conventional engraving device or industrial lathe has great volume and complicate operation. Therefore, exclusive software is necessary and also only a specialist is needed for the operation of the conventional engraving machine or the industrial lathe. The high price and complicate operation of the conventional engraving machine or the industrial lathe can be not affordable to the ordinary people who have needs of engraving or producing samples. For those who need to the assistance of engraving or tooling, it takes time to travel between the engraving workers and the tooling workers.
Even though a middle-sized engraving machine on hand, it still occupies space. Furthermore, that kind of engraving machine is operated by functional buttons, which needs the operators to stand long time. Such close distance between the machine and the operators cannot keep the operators from the noise made from the machine.
Therefore there is a need of a novel small engraving device which overcomes the above shortages.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
One object of the invention is to provide a small engraving device able to connect to a commercially available personal computer with use cost.
Another object of the invention is to provide a small engraving device able to control the operation in X, Y, Z directions with individual motors.
Still another object of the invention is to provide a small engraving device to which a controller is connected via a wire or wirelessly.
In order to achieve the above and other objectives, a small engraving device, comprising: a machine body, having a base and two panels, the base having a first motor which drives a first belt, the first belt urging against a first driven-to-move part to drive a work tray to move forth and back, and a first slide rod being mounted at each of front and rear of the base for the a horizontal pedal, mounted between the two panels, being in the shape of rectangular box, used to hold a second motor which drives a second belt, the second belt urging against a second driven-to-move part to drive a main vertical pedal to move horizontally, and two second slide rods being mounted between the two panels for the main vertical pedals to slide along horizontally; the main vertical pedal and a subsidiary vertical pedal, the subsidiary vertical pedal being received in the main vertical pedal, the main vertical pedal being mounted before the horizontal pedal, the main vertical pedal being used to hold the third motor which drives a third belt to move the subsidiary vertical pedal up and down, and two vertical slide rods being mounted inside the main vertical pedal for the subsidiary vertical pedal to move along vertically; a tool, on the subsidiary vertical pedal, a main axial motor being mounted on the tool, and the main axial motor driving the tool to rotate; thereby, a work piece being positioned above and driven to move forth and back by the work tray, and the movement of the horizontal pedal in X direction and the movement of subsidiary vertical pedal in Z direction driving the tool to perform the engraving operation.
The small engraving device of the invention has about the same size as a printer, and therefore can be used for industrial purpose or for a personal user. The small engraving device form small sculptures or sample model. It is more convenient to operate compared to the conventional large engraving machine or lathe. In addition, it is less expensive and easy to operate. The controller 60 can be wire or wireless.
The wireless controller 60 brings much convenience to the user who does not have to stand long time and can keep away from the small engraving device when in use.
Other objectives, advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description referring to the attached drawings.

The present invention will be described via detailed illustration of the preferred embodiment versus prior art referring to the drawings where: Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of a small engraving device according to the invention.
Figure 2 is an assembled perspective view of a small engraving device according to the invention.
Figure 3 is a schematic top view of a small engraving device according to the invention.
Figure 4 is a schematic front view of a small engraving device according to the invention.
Figure 5 is a schematic front view of a main vertical pedal and a subsidiary vertical pedal according to the invention.
Figure 6 is a schematic side view of a small engraving device according to the invention.
Figure 7 is a schematic plan view showing the operation of a work tray according to the invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
This invention provides a small engraving device, as shown in Figure 1 through Figure 5, including a machine body 10, a base 11, a horizontal pedal 20, a main vertical pedal 30, a subsidiary vertical pedal 301, a main axial motor 40 and a tool 50. The machine body 10 has two panels 12 in parallel. The base ii has an inner space for receiving a vertical box 110 in which a first motor 13 and a first belt 15 as shown in Figure 6. The first motor 13 drives the first belt 15. Two first slide rods 14 and a work tray 17 are further mounted under the base 11. A driven-to-move part 16 is mounted on the first belt 15 and also on a bottom of the work tray 17, in a manner to drive the work tray 17 to move forth and back. The first slide rods 14 are mounted respectively at a front and rear of the base 11 so that the work tray 17 move forth and back along the first slide rods 14. The work tray 17 further has a plurality of positioning slits 171 which respectively function for positioning or holding purpose.
The horizontal pedals 20 are in the shape of rectangular box, and mounted between the two panels for holding a second motor 21 which drives a second belt 22. Two second slide rods 24 are mounted the panels 12. The second slide rods 24 are used for the main vertical pedal 30 to slide along. The second belt 22 urges against a first driven-to-move part 23 which is fixed on a pressing board 23 1. The pressing board 23 1 connects to the main vertical pedal 30 to offer the main vertical pedal 30 to move horizontally along the slide rods 24.
The main vertical pedal 30 is mounted in front of the horizontal pedal 20, and is used to hold a third motor 3 1 which drives a third belt 32. The third belt 32 urges against a second driven-to-move part 33 which is fixed on the subsidiary vertical pedal 301 so that the subsidiary vertical pedal 301 can shift up and down. Two vertical slide rods are inside the main vertical pedal 30 in a manner the that second driven-to-move part 33 offers driving force to the subsidiary vertical pedal 301 to move up and down.
The main axial motor 40 is mounted on the subsidiary vertical pedal 301 and drives the tool 50 to rotate.
A controller 60 is further connected to the small engraving device via a wire. Alternatively the controller 60 is wirelessly connected to the small engraving device so that the small engraving device can be controlled in remote way and therefore has a plurality of buttons.
In the above configuration of the small engraving device, an electronic board (not shown) is mounted in the machine body 10 and connected to a commercially available personal computer having small volume and able to be placed on a table. When in use, a work piece to be processed is placed on the work tray 17 and any required commands are actuated. The base ii drives the first belt 15 to move forth by the operation of the first motor 13 SO that the work piece can be therefore moved forth along a Y direction. At this moment, the tool 50 is affected by the main vertical pedal 30 and the subsidiary vertical pedal 301 to move toward X direction and Z direction. The work tray 17 moves forth or back from time to time. The main vertical pedal 30 is driven to move horizontally by the second belt 22 under the operation of the third motor 3 1, simultaneously driving the tool 50 to move up and down.
Thereby, any predetermined patterns can be formed on the work piece.
The controller 60 proceeds to control the machine body 10 after the personal computer is set.
In light of the above, the small engraving device of the invention has about the same size as a printer, and therefore can be used for industrial purpose or for a personal user. The small engraving device form small sculptures or sample model. It is more convenient to operate compared to the conventional large engraving machine or lathe. In addition, it is less expensive and easy to operate. The controller 60 can be wire or wireless.
The wireless controller 60 brings much convenience to the user who does not have to stand long time and can keep away from the small engraving device when in use.
The present invention has been described via the detailed illustration of the preferred embodiment. Those skilled in the art can derive variations from the preferred embodiment without departing from the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the preferred embodiment shall not limit the scope of the present invention defined in the claims.

Claims (8)

  1. CLAIMS1. A small engraving device, comprising: a machine body, having a base and two panels, the base having a first motor which drives a first belt, the first belt urging against a first driven-to-move part to drive a work tray to move forth and back, and a first slide rod being mounted at each of front and rear of the base for the a horizontal pedal, mounted between the two panels, being in the shape of rectangular box, used to hold a second motor which drives a second belt, the second belt urging against a second driven-to-move part to drive a main vertical pedal to move horizontally, and two second slide rods being mounted between the two panels for the main vertical pedals to slide along horizontally; the main vertical pedal and a subsidiary vertical pedal, the subsidiary vertical pedal being received in the main vertical pedal, the main vertical pedal being mounted before the horizontal pedal, the main vertical pedal being used to hold the third motor which drives a third belt to move the subsidiary vertical pedal up and down, and two vertical slide rods being mounted inside the main vertical pedal for the subsidiary vertical pedal to move along vertically; a tool, on the subsidiary vertical pedal, a main axial motor being mounted on the tool, and the main axial motor driving the tool to rotate; thereby, a work piece being positioned above and driven to move forth and back by the work tray, and the movement of the horizontal pedal in X direction and the movement of subsidiary vertical pedal in Z direction driving the tool to perform the engraving operation.
  2. 2. The small engraving device of claim 1, further comprising a controller having a plurality of buttons to control the operation of the small engraving device.
  3. 3. The small engraving device of claim 2, wherein the controller is connected to the small engraving device via a wire.
  4. 4. The small engraving device of claim 2, wherein the controller is wirelessly connected to the small engraving device.
  5. 5. The small engraving device of claim 1, wherein the work tray has a plurality of positioning slits for positioning the work piece.
  6. 6. The small engraving device of claim 1, wherein a vertical box is mounted inside the base and has the first motor and the first belt therein.
  7. 7. The small engraving device of claim 1, wherein the second driven-to-move part of the horizontal pedal is connected to the main vertical pedal via a pressing board.
  8. 8. An engraving machine substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to and as shown in the accompanying drawings.AMENDMENTS TO THE CLAIMS HAVE BEEN FILED AS FOLLOWS:-CLAIMS1. A small engraving device, comprising: a machine body, having a base and two panels, the base having a first motor which drives a first belt, the first belt acting against a first driven-to-move part to drive a work tray to move forth and back in the Y direction, and first slide rods being mounted at the front and rear of the base for the work tray to slide along; a horizontal framework, mounted between the two panels and movable in the Y direction, in the shape of a rectangular box, which is used to hold a second motor which drives a second belt, the second belt acting against a second driven-to-move part which engages a pressing element arranged to drive a main vertical framework to move horizontally, and two second slide rods being mounted between the two panels for the main vertical framework to slide along horizontally; a subsidiary vertical framework received in the main vertical framework, the main vertical framework being used to hold a third motor which drives a third belt to move the subsidiary vertical framework up and down in the Z direction, and two vertical slide rods being mounted inside the main vertical framework for the subsidiary vertical framework *0*S** * * to move along vertically; a tool mounted on the subsidiary vertical framework, a main axial **** motor being mounted on the tool, and the main axial motor driving the tool to rotate; whereby a work piece which is positioned above the work tray is driven to move back and by the work tray in the Y direction, and the movement of the horizontal framework in the X direction and the movement of the subsidiary vertical framework in the Z direction moving the tool to perform the engraving operation.2. The small engraving device of claim 1, further comprising a controller having a plurality of buttons to control the operation of the S small engraving device.3. The small engraving device of claim 2, wherein the controller is connected to the small engraving device via a wire.4. The small engraving device of claim 2, wherein the controller is wirelessly connected to the small engraving device.5. The small engraving device of claim 1, wherein the work tray has a plurality of positioning slits for positioning the work piece.6. The small engraving device of claim 1, wherein a box is mounted inside the base and has the first motor and the first belt therein.7.
