Abstract

A vehicle fitted with distance sensors of various geometrical arrangements. For example, the distance sensors 7 may be arranged in a vertical/diagonal line on the vehicle, on the bumpers, side mirror or side lights 9. The horizontal and/or angled indicators distance sensors could vary in numbers, sizes and shapes. The vehicle has an alarm circuit comprising an indicator stick/switch (5, see figure 1/3) and distance sensors 7 on both lateral sides of the vehicle, wherein the distance sensors are activated on a respective side of the vehicle when the indicator stick/switch is operated to indicate turning in that direction.

Description

INDICATOR SENSOR/SAND SIDE LIGHTS.
The aim is to further more improve security on the roadsides, with some side lights and with a new indicators system.
The idea is about a new way to add and use the distance sensor/s to the indicators system, to largely reduce road collisions caused when changing lanes, because of poor observation lack of visibility, distance.
Drivers many times are over interpreting small gaps, or failing to use the side mirrors, or while attempting to change lane using the side minor, the vehicle in front just got closer.
Also while travelling alongside motorways it is vely important to change lane safely, under any circumstance, but some times because of visibility, or adverse weather conditions, changing lane not at the right moment could result in disaster.
The innovation is to add to the indicators system the our day world wide used, distance sensor/s ( electric photo cells), to detect obstacle/s every time, even before manoeuvring, but just having any indicator signal on, alerting the driver of a possible danger at any time and condition, day and night.
The horizontal indicators distance sensor/s, on the right and left side of the vehicles, or/and side mirrors, fixed, rotary or mobile, facing and/or angled horizontally to the outside, detecting up to 180 degrees or less the externally close surrounding area, on both sides of the vehicle.
The new indicators distance sensor/s alarm system, and side lights improvements as following configures: 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 with it several examples: 1/3: There is an abstract wirings diagram, showing the new indicators alarm system, distance sensor/s. The system could be supplied by the main battery 1, wired up with live through a circuit breker 2, main switch/es indicators alarm on the dashboard 3, and then to the push-contact/s switches, cased/acconimodate at both opposite sides of the indicators housing cover edges, and facing in between the indicators stick, the switches will activate on/off the system, working independently on the left or on the right of the vehicle 4 and 4b, and only by the time any indicator will be on, that means with and when shifting the indicators stick to one side 5, that will turn on/off the push-contact/s switches, activating the new indicators alarm system, throughout the circuit panels 6, and 6b.
There is a number of distance sensor/s circuit panels among car manufacturers, so they will add to the new indicators system their own distance sensor/s alarm circuit.
The circuit panels will activate the wirings cable/s to each distance sensor/s 7 and 7b, the detecting distance sensor/s will send off the circuit and then to an alarm beeper 8.
Some new indicator alarm system could have a sound booster, wired up on different connections from the battery I, with live going through the circuit braker 2b, to supplying an amplifier 8b. From the control panel 6b, the alarm signals boosted through an amplifier 8b, to the sounder-speaker/s 8c, with loud and very loud tones, for a category of drivers with a poor or no hearing, but mainly feeling body vibrations.
2/3: This figure shows as well as some examples of the detecting distance area of each indicator distance sensor could vary, as a predetermined surrounding vicinity, a short minimum distance of the immediate sides at the vehicle A, as a medium long distance, about the space needed going forward when changing lanes on both side B, and as a longer distance to detect the back of the vehicle on the side, when changing lane C, if the sensor/s are fixed on the front side of the vehicle or vice versa That just to suit any vehicle length and gap, between the vehicle sensor/s and any potentially close obstacle/s.
One or more sensor/s could be accommodate/cased in plastic/metal supports, and the sensor/s facing or/and angled horizontally on each external side of the vehicle.
On this figure shows a vehicle side with a variety of examples, there are detached/semi-detached fitted, in a verticalldiagonal line on the vehicle, bumpers and side mirror some side lights 9, and on the vehicle, bumpers, side mirror and below the side mirror some horizontal distance sensors 7, The horizontal indicators distance sensor/s could vary in numbers, sizes and shapes, because motor/auto vehicles of difference sizes and shapes, for best detecting any obstacle/s.
3/3: This figure simply shows a vehicle frontally with more examples, on the right hand side of the vehicle and side mirror shows some detached, verticalldiagonal side lights 9, and on the vehicle and the side mirror base some horizontal distance sensors Th.
More examples on the left hand side of the vehicle, in vertical line on the vehicle and side mirror some detached side lights 9, and on the vehicle and around the side mirror some more horizontally fitted indicator distance sensors 7.
Having the indicators distance sensor/s fixed on the vehicle as road safety priority, and as well as, acting as a reminder for when accidentally the indicator is left on, as the alarm system sounder, can be louder than the typical indicator on.
This new indicators alarm system, could be added to any car manufacturer alarm systems.
