Abstract

247,565. Winkler, A. Feb. 11, 1925, [Convention date]. Producers are fitted with steam injectors composed of juxtaposed hollow elements as described in Specification 178,605. The injectors 8, Fig. 2, are arranged immediately above the grate, and may be protected by perforated tiles 9; a second series of injectors 10 may be arranged within the combustion zone. In a modification, the injectors are arranged as shown at 8 and 10 in Fig. 3. Atomized water, with or without air, may be used instead of steam.
