The article may have an inclined V-shaped lower back section to allow compatibility with other garments and to allow compression and support of the sides, hips, buttocks and lower back.
An article of clothing constructed in accordance with the present invention allows increased comfort and flexibility in use when combined with other wearable attire for both males and females of all ages. The article consist of two braces or straps which extended from the lower back of the garment to the lower front of the garment. The straps are attached via hooks to respective latches on each lower front section of the garment. Similarly, respective hooks and latches are situated on the lower left and right panel of the lower back of the garment. On both straps mechanisms are provided that allow longitudinal adjustment of the article. These adjustable mechanisms can be extended to the maximum in a backward motion-to the base of the lower back to allow extension of the article.
Conversely, adjustment of the adjustable mechanism by movements in a forward motion -to the lower base at the front of the article will provide maximum adjustment of the article by shortening the article as a whole.
On each inner back panel of both straps there are mechanisms by which the brassiere can be attached to or detached from the article.
As well as the adjustable mechanism present on each strap, an additional circular portion is present on the lower back panel of each strap. This allows adjustment of the straps to various lengths. These circular portions are localised by a double section (which is a continuation of the straps) that secures the straps and circular entity in to position at the lower back of the article.
At the end of each lower strap, a hook is localised to facilitate open and closing mechanism. This is further facilitated by the upwards incline of fabric at the back on both the left and right side of the article.
Additionally, zippers are provided on the upper thigh region of the suite to facilitate flexibility in the length to allow the article to be worn in combination with other garments such as shorts or mini-skirts.
Similarly, there are zippers on the lower region of the thighs to allow further flexibility in length and provide extra moulding and compression of such region.
Additionally, there are areas of less elasticity in the article in the region of the knees to allow flexibility in joint movements during mobility.
Additionally, there is a detachable feet region that has less elasticity in the ankle and toe region to allow support and flexibility of such regions specified.
Additionally, there is a right latch and hook mechanism present on the right lower front region of the hip, similarly to the left side and at the lower back region respectively.
Additionally, there is a zipper that extends at an angle which encapsulates the section from the upper hip to the groin region present on the right side and left side of the article. This allows removal of the abdominal support section of the article, if required.
Additionally, there are vertically positioned flexible linear removable plastic linings here after refer to a plastic lining the function of which is to add reinforcement to the abdominal support section. These flexible linear removable plastic linings are localised and specific to corresponding positions on either sides of the abdominal support section of the article.
Additionally, there are grooves which accommodate the upper and lower ends of each flexible linear removable plastic lining in the abdominal support section.
Additionally, there are stitching that forms intra-spaced tubular sections refer hereafter as channels which serve to accommodate the flexible linear removable plastic lining in the abdominal support section of the article. These channels are not visible on the interior or exterior of the article. This feature allows a form of padded or cushioned mechanism and hence comfort is attained when the linings are inserted in the channel. Crucially, the stitching of the elasticised bands are terminated at the proximity at the channels and do not transverse the channel.
This is to facilitate increased versatility and mobility of the linings during bending or twisting motions made by the wearer. This further allows dexterity and increase moulding and support of the lower abdomen, midriff and inner hips.
Additionally, there are broad adjustable straps that provide an increased surface area, and hence relief of pressure on the wearer's shoulders. Particularly in cases such as obesity or large breasts.
Additionally, there is a channel situated under each brassiere cup to retain a brassiere under-wire; to allow maximum uplift of breasts, enhance cleavage and give breast support and confidence to the wearer.
Additionally, there is a groove which facilitates the end of the brassiere under-wire, this affords removability of the brassiere under-wire.
Additionally, there is a corresponding latch and hook mechanism on each inner back region of the brassiere straps. This accommodates the incorporation of a brassiere with the article. Hooks are design correspondingly to efficiently accommodate the respective latches thereby to immobilise the back of the article and permit the brassiere cups location at the front of the article in accordance to the natural orientation of the wearer's body.
Additionally, there are corresponding brassiere metal hooks on the inner lining on each end of the underarm region of the brassiere. This allows reinforcement of the inserts when in place.
Additionally, there is a corresponding hook that fits into its matching latch at the inner back region of the article. This facilitates immobility of the brassiere when inserted and worn as part of the article.
Additionally, there are left and right brassiere cups to accommodate each breast to provide added uplift and support to the wearer. There are highly elasticised regions on both edges of the underarm and back regions of the brassiere. This allow flexibility and added comfort to the wearer. Furthermore, these highly elasticised edges and less elasticised cotton interior provides an increased surface area thus minimising discomfort caused by the sides of the brassiere piercing in the underarm regions of the wearer.
Additionally, there are adjustable mechanisms that allow the increase or decrease in cleavage and brassiere cup size. This is located at the front of the article. The hook mechanism is encompassed in an inner groove in one cup.
This facilitates the insert which is present in the other cup.
Additionally, there is a tie able string at the point where each cup conjoined. This provides a fashionable feature to the article.
Additionally, there is a stitch on both inner legs and outer sides where the article is joined (backed and front sections).
Additionally, there is a less elasticised and cotton region and lining that forms the crotch region. The lining is made from cotton to allow ventilation and less friction.
Additionally, there is outwards projection of the hip region of the article that moulds the hips in their natural shape, thus providing greater comfort and added support, on each side.
Additionally, elasticised bands form the abdominal support of the article. Each stitching is positioned to allow flexibility of the flexible removable plastic linings located within the abdominal support section of the article. Most importantly, these elasticised regions provide excess compression to mould the lower abdomen and midriff in their natural assortment. These elasticised regions also ensure added support and moulding of such regions when the flexible removable plastic linings are detached from the abdominal support region of the suite.
These elasticised bands also facilitate attachment by suction of the article onto the wearer's body, moulding the natural features, smoothing and redefining any bulges and love handles. The elasticised bands also ensure the abdominal support section is not rolled downwards when the wearer bends or performs a twisted motion or when the centre of gravity is not otherwise at the centre of the abdomen. These bands hold the article in place along with additional features described within this application. The elasticised bands terminate at the junction of each flexible removable plastic lining channel. The elastic is not stitched across each channel but begin and end on opposite sides of each channel.
Additionally, there is a circular mechanism that facilitates adjustment of the strap. This is located on each lower side at the back of the article. This allows extension or reduction in the length of the straps of the article and brassiere.
Additionally, there is a folded double-layered region of the strap that is attachable to the upper end of each lower back region of the article. This facilitates the localisation of the circular mechanism that allows adjustment of the strap. The lower end of the double-layered of the strap also facilitates the hook mechanism that is joined onto a latch; thus joining the strap to the lower part of the article.
Additionally, there is a latch on each upper ends of the back of the article. This facilitates the hook on the lower part of the straps, thus allowing attachment and detachment of the straps.
Additionally, there is a vertical section located at each end of the upper end of the back of the article to which the latch and hook mechanism operate.
Additionally, there is a V assortment that allows discretion of the article when worn under an open-backed garment. This assortment also allows support to the natural contours of the buttocks and lower region of the waist and spine.
This design provides added comfort and moulding of the waist and love handles whilst, allowing the skin to breath and reducing odour build-up.
Additionally, there is also a thinner elasticised region that supports and moulds each buttock into their natural shape. In combination with other features of the article, this moulds the buttocks and upper leg region to provide and reduce any bulges of the thighs and hips.
Embodiments of the invention will now be described, by way of example only with reference to the following figures in which Figure 1 illustrates the frontal view of an article of clothing constructed in accordance with the present invention; Figure 2 illustrates a frontal view of the article with the abdominal support compartment, with the flexible linear removable plastic linings, in place, as well as the closed position of the zippers in the region of the thighs; Figure 3A illustrates the abdominal support section; Figure 3B illustrates the localisation of each plastic lining and elasticised band in the suite; Figure 3C illustrates the removal of the abdominal support by unzipping the zippers; Figure 3D illustrates the removability of the abdominal support region of the article with the assorted removable zipper mechanism; Figure 4 illustrates the brassiere and its adjustable mechanism (although not adjustable in the diagram), to enhance the cup size; Figure 5 illustrates the hook and latch mechanism that encapsulate the attachment/detachment of the straps to the lower part of the article; Figure 6 illustrates the brassiere and its adjustable mechanism to enhance cup size and cleavage, as well as the hook and latch mechanism that facilitate attachment of the brassiere to the inner back region of the straps on the article; Figure 7 illustrates the brassiere localised within the back of the straps of the article; Figure 8 illustrates the brassiere localised within the article by means of attachment to the back of the straps on the article; Figure 9 illustrates the brassiere under-wire in place, and the elasticised outer edges and less elasticised and cotton inner fabric that forms the region of the bra that makes contact with the under-arm, side and rib cage; Figure 10 illustrates the removal of the brassiere under-wire and hence provide additional comfort if required by the wearer; Figure 11 illustrate the rear view of the article with the desired features; Figure 12 illustrate a side view of the article on the wearer's body, with most features in view; and Figure 13 illustrates the dissected view of the article.
Although illustrated as trouser form, it is clearly envisaged that the current invention is applicable to other garment such as, for example and without limitation, dresses and skirts.
Figure 1 illustrates the frontal view of the article. Harnesses or straps are located on either sides of the garment 1. The strap is a broad and elasticised region that is design to fit the shoulders and provide a large surface area and relief pressure off the wearers shoulders. Especially when the wearer has a larger figure and when the brassiere 25 is incorporated in the garment.
Adjustable mechanisms 2 are provided which is made from thick plastic or other material of higher tensile strength. These adjustable mechanisms contain a space to which the straps are feed through to allow adjustment of the shoulder straps or the length of the article. These adjustable mechanisms function as indispensible tools to allow increase flexibility in length of the shoulder straps to match the varied body contours of different individuals varying in sizes from extra large to petite.
The strap is connected to latches 4, 10 at the front of the article via hooks 3, 11 respectively, and which is located at the front lower ends on each straps. Similar mechanisms 35, 36 are present at the back of the article. There is also a circular mechanism 33 that facilitates adjustments in the strap. An additional zipper 5 is illustrated in a closed position. This allows removal of the lower part of the suite to create a short and more discrete feature of the article.
In this position the article is able to be worn with shorts, miniskirt, swimsuits or other similar short attire. Moreover, the length can further be increased, by a lower thigh zipper 6. This is to provide added moulding of the larger region of the thighs. Each zipper is strategically located at such region to allow maximum concealment of the article when being worn, whilst providing the crucial function of moulding the body to a natural and trimmer frame. Furthermore, allowing comfort and reducing the attenuation of thigh bulges and love handles at the same time.
Upon removal of the abdominal support section of the article by unzipping the zippers 12 the remainder material at the end of the article 13 can be folded downwards, to prevent the open zipper coming in contact with the skin to provide added comfort. The lower knee region consists of a knee area 7with a material of less elasticity this is to allow flexibility of the knee joint during movements or sitting; where the lower thigh region is attached to the upper part of the article by zippers 6 and 5. These zippers further allow adjustability in the length of the article. It can be worn as a full length embodiment and provide compression and support to the upper thighs and lower leg. This is by compressing the calves and lower leg. This therefore provide increase warmth and comfort whilst, allowing efficient circulation, as zippers 5, 6 and ankle zipper 8 apply controlled pressure to the lower limbs.
Similarly, the heal panel 9 allows comfort and warmth while supporting the ankle and toes when attached to zipper 8 to form a full-length embodiment. The heal panel 9 also provide added support to this region. It is made from thin elasticised material similarly to the toe region. Combination of the heal panel 9, and zippers 8, 6 and 5 provide a complete embodiment that provide moulding and support to the lower region of the wearer's body. This is especially advantageous as the article is able to compress such regions which are saturated with adipose tissue, providing a smooth and efficient fit on these contour regions by reducing the size of this area and maintain the natural shape of the lower leg and pentadactyle region without the means of surgery.
There is a zipper 12 that attaches the abdominal support region 17 to the suite.
This assortment is ideal as it allow the article to be worn by various groups. For example, upon removal of the abdominal support section by means of zipper 12 on either sides, the suite is able to be worn without the incorporation of the abdominal support section 17. This can be worn during early pre or late postnatal periods; in addition the removal of the brassiere 25 allows the article to be worn by male. Detachment of the abdominal support section 17 by the zipper 12 also permits customisation by the wearer if such individual feels the zipper 12 is not require as such area of the body do not require the abdominal support. With the removal of the abdominal support section 17 by the zipper 12 the article still provides the additional comfort and support with such remainder parts. If however the zipper 12 is detached, an inner section of fabric 13 provide additional comfort as it is able to be folded downwards to cover the region of zipper 12 on the upper hip and groin region. Supplementary reinforcement and compression is provided by removable plastic linings 14.
These entities are flexible and removable, hence allow added comfort whether, removed or wear in combination flexible plastic lining intra-positioned vertical channels 16 in the abdominal support. When worn these accommodate added moulding of the outer region of the hips and the centralised abdominal wall.
This support feature is further enhanced by broad elasticised bands 31 and the junctions where the elasticised band stitching ends 32. The orientation of the abdominal support section 17 permits ideal support and compression of the midriff, lower abdomen and love handles where the abdominal support section 17 is joined to the zipper 12 even during detachment from the straps 18 from the garment. The current invention provides added support to the wearer breasts by the combination of the brassiere 25 and its associated features features 24, 23, 22, 21, 20,19 and 18. The breast is further supported and enhanced by a brassiere under-wire 21, which is removable, if required in cases such as during lactation or other personal needs. The incorporation of the under-wire 21 is facilitated by brassiere underwire holder 19 which serves to support and facilitate the brassiere underwire 21 thus prevent direct contact with the wearer's body.
Additional flexibility in the usage of the underwire 2]. is made possible by the brassiere underwire groove 20 which held and further allow access to the underwire 21 if needs to be removed, to fulfil the wearer's needs. In addition to the general role of the brassiere 25, the brassiere cup adjustable mechanism 26 allows an additional degree of support and versatility to reduce or increase cup size or the cleavage to article the wearer's needs. The re-adjustment can facilitate uplift of the breast when inserted at the second (shown in figure 4 -region 26 A, insert holder and 26 B insert) adjustable mechanism. The downwards inserts 26B consists of a thin metal lining which is further added to allow comfort and relief tension on the breast.
The article further contains a fashionable tie-able string between brassiere cups 27 which provide added confidence to the wearer. The outer and inner stitching 28 provide the fundamental function of joining the front and back of the article together.
The inner stitches are positioned at the inner region of the legs and the outer stitching are positioned at the side of each leg and extended longitudinally above the hips 30 to the lower part of the zipper 12 sewn onto the lower part of the article. This provides concealment of such stitching in the article when worn on its own or in combination with other garments, as well as facilitating a crotch lining 29. * * .
Moulding and support of the hip is facilitated by elasticised bands 31, 30, 3, 4, * 10, 11, 12, and 32. * **
The elasticised bands 31 allow moulding and support of the lower and upper abdomen, midriff and hips. These are transversely sewn and incorporated in the abdominal support section 17 to produce redefined and smooth features to the previously stated body regions. The bands 31 are further supported by the plastic linings 14 as the bands 31 do not transverse the intra-located vertical channels 16. The termination of each stitching is depicted by 32. This allows full insertion of the plastic linings 14 into the channels 16 to provide added enforcement and support.
Figure 2 illustrates the frontal view of the abdominal support 17 and flexible plastic linings 14 in their designated region 15 and 16. This also show the attachment of the abdominal support section 17 to the zipper 12 with the fabric 13 to allow added protection from the remainder of the zipper 12 attached to 30 when the zipper 12 is unzipped. The plastic linings 14 provide additional support when worn in combination with the article as previously described.
Channels 16 are located within the intra-space of the abdominal support section 17 to retain the plastic linings 14. These are invisible on the interior and exterior of the article and further provide added comfort. Zipper 6 depicts the detachment of the lower region from the article. This is allows flexibility in lengths to suite the wearer's desire. For example, when the article is worn in combination with shorts or long skirts; added support and moulding of the upper and lower thighs are accommodated by zippers 5 and 6.
Figure 3A illustrates identical features described in figure 2 with regards to the abdominal support in place and the removal of the flexible plastic linings.
Figure 3B illustrates the transversely oriented position of the bands 31 with the feature of 32 to allow insertion and removal of the flexible plastic linings in the article.
Figure 3C illustrates the feature of the removability of the abdominal support section of the article by unzipping 12 upwards away from convergence at the groin region.
Figure 3D illustrates the outcome of implementing the illustrated feature outlined by figure 3C. The abdominal support section 17 is removed by pulling zipper 12 on each side upwards to the upper hip region. This allow various means of the article, primarily, when there is a requirement for strenuous abdominal support or just support required for the remainder of the regions.
Figure 4 illustrates the normal use of the brassiere with each cup size and cleavage enhancement mechanisms in use. 26A and 26 B allow further adjustment to the brassiere cup size to suite the wearer's need, by such to enhance cleavage by inserting both inserts into their respective compartments.
Inserting one inset into one holder will give lesser enhance cleavage compared to the insertion of both inserts into their respective holder. Satin tie string 27 further allows a fashionable feature to the brassiere by allowing the formation of a bow. The tie string can alternatively be worn loosely to hang and to enhance confidence.
Figure 5 illustrates the detachment of the hook on the strap 3 at the front of the hip 4. This is to facilitate going to the lavatory, removal of the article without the upper region of the suite (straps and brassiere) if required, in cases when there is a need to coordinate the article with other attire. This allows flexibility wearing the article with other garments to provide comfort and support to the wearer's body.
Figure 6 the adjustment of the brassiere to enhance cleavage and additional roles as described above for figure 4. 26A and 26B depict a visual description of when such cup size adjustment is in use by enhancing the wearer's cleavage.
24 illustrates the hook that allows the brassiere to be incorporated into the article. 23 illustrates the added metal lining of the hook that allows the brassiere to fit in place with the aid of 22. Upwards movement results in detachment of 24 from 22 to meet the wearer's needs. Specifically the current invention is also suitable for male.
Figure 7 illustrates the frontal view of the removable brassiere and the additional features described for figure 6. Detachment of the brassiere by the upwards motion result in the in-occupation of 22. 22 is situated on the inner surface of the straps that support the back region. Detachment allows incorporation with other garments such as brassiere to create a personalised style or other such use.
Figure 8 illustrates the incorporation of the brassiere when worn in combination with the article. 25 allows added comfort and mould and restoration the natural shape of the wearer's breasts. Each cup is made from cotton with a lightly padded interior to provide added cushioning uplift.
Figure 9 illustrates the integration of 21 and further illustrates the elasticised outer edges of the sides, underarm and back regions prior 24 to provide added support by moulding and supporting the underarm region.
