Abstract

An egg cup which allows a user to hold a boiled egg steady whilst cutting off its top comprises a cover and a base section. Both sections are generally cylindrical in shape. The egg sits on a ledge with a hole in it inside of the base section. The hole allows excess water to drain into the bottom of the base section. The cover slides over the base section and the egg, and has a hole in its top through which the egg protrudes, allowing it to be cut off without the user having to hold the egg. The egg cup can accommodate different sized eggs.
