Abstract
247,093. Brown, A. W. Aug. 8, 1925. Boxes of skeleton formation; fittings, internal- -A case for holding a number of bottles, jars, &c. in a resilient manner so as to prevent breakage comprises metal hoops a, Figs. 1 and 3, riveted to metal strips b, d, the bottom being formed of resilient strps with turned-down ends g. The bottles are held away from one another and from the sides of the case by shaped metal strips q, r. The, lid consists of a frame a<x> hinged at i to two of the members d and provided with helical springs or resilient strips j, k adapted to press upon the stoppers of the bottles. In a modification an outer cylindrical metal frame has secured within it by wires w, Figs. 6 and 7, a pair of rings x adapted to receive ,a single bottle supported at the bottom by wires u<x>, other bottles arranged outside the rings x being supported by bottom wires u and lateral wires v. Upper wires z engaging the stoppers are inserted after the bottles have been placed in position.
