Abstract

A system is provided for the forming of a hermetic seal between, for example, a door or window wing frame and an associated main frame of an enclosure. The system comprises a radiused corner sealing portion adjacent to a first face of the wing frame and an opposite mating radiused corner sealing portion adjacent to a respective face of the main frame. The radiused corner portions may be provided as inserts and may be fitted to extruded material forming the main or wing frame. The system is reusable and may be fitted to existing and future closures. It may be used for preventing flood water or gas.

Description

Description
A method by which a barrier at an opening of regular or irregular dimensions can be hermetically sealed to prevent the passage of a iquid or in fact a gas through the said opening.
In the event of a build up of liquid or gas at one side of the opening, for example a door, the system can be operated to fully seal the barrier to the surrounding of the opening and prevent the liquid or gas from passing to the other side.
The system can be actuated quickly and has the potential to be reused. The system can be fitted to new and existing inner and outer frames. For example, domestic UPVC doors can be made to be hermetically sealed due to the installation of the unique and special corner pieces.
