Abstract
246,351. De Forest Phonofilms, Ltd., (Forest, L. de). April 3, 1925. Instrument and leads shielded by metallic screen.-Microphones 1, 2 of any type are shielded from electromagnetic or electrostatic disturbances by an open mesh metal screen 3 which allows sound waves to penetrate. The leads to the amplifier apparatus 5 are encased in a metallic sheath 4 connected to the mesh 3 and to a metal screen 6 surrounding the amplifier, the whole being grounded. An open mesh screen 3 may be applied to several microphones in different parts of the room.
