Abstract

A walking aid has ball shaped or spherical wheels2,4. The walking aid may have three or four wheels. The walking aid may have a seat with a bag underneath7or a basket6and the walking aid may have brakes5.

Description

A 3 /4 wheeled walker which uses balls for wheels.
3 and 4 wheeled walkers enable people with impaired mobility to walk more confidently. Unfortunately many kerbs are not designed for 3/ 4 wheeled walkers to move smoothly over them and often the result is the disabled person falling over their walker. The wheels tend to follow the direction of the kerb and then stop moving.
This invention has spherical wheels which cannot be caught in the kerb. The spheres, or balls continue to roll over the kerb and the walker is not in danger of stumbling over.
