Abstract

A curtain hanging device comprises two parts that are brought together to trap a portion of the top edge of a curtain for hanging the curtain from a pole. The main part 2 has an eyelet or ring (5, fig 7) connected to a wedge shaped portion (6, fig 7). The other part 1 is a fastening portion and includes a planar surface with a plurality of gripping spikes (4, fig 3) and two arms (3, fig 3) that are spaced from and parallel to the flat surface. In use the fastening portion is placed behind a part of the curtain to be gripped with the arms adjacent the edge and the wedge shaped part of the main portion is slid under the arms such that the wedge acts to be pressed towards the gripping spikes to hold the curtain within the device. The distal ends of the arms engage with ridges (8, figs 15 and 16) to improve frictional engagement of the two components. When the curtain is suspended the weight of the curtain acts to maintain the grip on the curtain by each hanging device. The curtain can then be suspended from a pole by passing the rings over the pole.

Description

Description;
The (Irtain Gip-Haiger is edf ically desied for hanng cxwtain fric and amprises two parts, a -ipftener and a happing ring enling ortain fric to be held titly between the ip fener and cured with the hopping ring whith then attarliesto any ajrtn pole where the ring ction is desed to be a standard ze ring or pail ring to be hung on a curtain pole. The gipping methanin wifl work on the bas of the gip fastener with gipping teeth to hold the fric and the hopping arms to host the hopping ring a.Jring the fric tiitly between gip fastener and the hopping ring whith when did into podtion the hopping armswill be torcad against the hopping steps where the armswill dide to the furthest most step resulting in further gipping preure on the curtain fthic holding it curely in pl.

Claims (1)

  1. Oairrs 1-The Ortain Gip-I-Ianger czmprises two parts a gip faener and a hopping ring enling airtain fricto be held tiitIy between the g1pfaener and cured with the hopping ring whith then attacl,es to any airtain pole and where the gipping methani9ll will work on the bas of the gip faener with 1pping teeth to hold the fric and the hopping arms to ho the hopping ring aJring the fric tiitly between the ip fener and the hopping ring whith when id into potion the hopping arms will be forcad ain the hopping ateps where the arms will dide to the furthe mo ep resulting in further gipping pressure on the airtain fatric holding it airely in plae.
    2-In arrdanc with daim 1, the hopping ring can be de9gned to be of any ze ring or part ring or any e that facilitates it to be hung on to any curtain pole.
    3-In arordanc with daim 1, the hopping ateps can be of aorvature iepe or of any aniIar size or may not exi at all, leaving a flat iding surface that will function on friction only.
