Abstract
A drinking vessel holder accessory includes a drinking vessel holder 1 which is attached to a flexible arm 2. The flexible arm is attached to interchangeable means of securing the accessory to tubes and bars shapes, with round or flat surfaces, of pushchairs, high chairs or other seating.
Description
Drinking Vessel Holder Accessory for Pushchair or Other Seating This invention relates to a drinking vessel holder which has a flexible arm and can be attached to various types of appropriate seating.
Young children, and people who require practical assistance to use drinking vessels can experience difficulty in keeping hold of a drinking vessel due to developmental stages of manual gross and fine motor skills and due to problems with maintaining a level manual dexterity that allows independence from assistance regarding holding a drinking vessel and placing it where it can be obtained again.
To overcome the difficulties described above, the present invention proposes an attachment with a bendable, flexible arm and drinking vessel holder at the other end that can be attached, by interchangeable types of attachment parts, to side bars of a...

The accessory will allow children and other people who require practical assistance to either/or: hold a drinking vessel, move a drinking vessel and keep it within reach, to develop and/or maintain motor skills and maximise independence.
The present invention requires that the arm is made of a material that is flexible and able to hold the weight of a drinking vessel and able to be moved by a child or person. This gives the advantage of being able to adapt the length and strength of material that the arm is made from to fit with the needs of the individual user.
The interchangeable means of attachment allow flexibility as to what the proposed invention is attached to. Preferably, the flexible arm has various means of attachment parts, so as to secure the accessory to various parts of a pushchair, high chair or seating.

An example of the invention will now be desribed by referring to the accompanying drawings: Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the drinking vessel holder attached to the flexible arm and a side view of three means of interchangeable attachments according to the invention.
Figure 2 shows two perspective and one aerial view of three means of attachment to tubes or similar shape and flat surface according to the invention.
In figure 1 the the drinking vessel holder unit 1 is attached to the flexible arm unit 2 which in turn is. attached to one of the means of attachment 3 to secure the proposed invention to a surface, tube or similar. Side views are shown of two alternative means of attachment 4, 5.
The drinking vessel unit 1 is solid and provides a clip in function to secure the hold on the vessel and a solid base section which together hold the drinking vessel in place.
The flexible arm 2 is bendable and has sufficent maleability to allow a child or person with limited or developing strength and manual dexterity to pull and push the drinking vessel towards and away from themselves once the vessel is in the holder. Attachment means 3 is by the securing two clamps together with screws to secure around a tube including cylindrical or flat surfaced or similar part, for example on a pushchair side bar which is a bar, tube, flat surfaced or similar shape.
Attachment means 4 is by securing the accessory to a flat surface for example a high chair table or other table by use of a suction device.
Attachment means 5 is by securing the accessory to a tube or similar shape using a clip on device.
Figure 2 shows two perspective and one aerial view of interchangeable means of attachment for the accessory.
Attachment means I is attached to the flexible arm of the accessory and has secured the drinking vessel accessory into place by it's two clamps screwed together.
Attachment means 2 is attached to the accessory's flexible arm and is secured to a flat surface by the suction pad.
Attachment means 3 is attached to a tube, bar or similar shape by clipping the accessory into place.
The interchangeable means of attachment are attached to the flexible arm of the accessory at the other end of which the drinking vessel holder is attached to. The flexible arm is able to be bent by the accessory user to allow the holding of the drinking vessel in a : desired position, i.e. either near to the accessory user or away from. The secure and interchangeable means of attachment mean that if the accessory is attached to a moving pushchair, their is *. .: sufficient grip and security from the holder at the other end of the S...'. flexible arm so that the drinking vessel does not become * .* unsecured.
