Abstract

The invention comprises a triangular shaped sun shade for attachment to the awning rail 2 of a caravan or camper 1, where said shade may be located adjacent a doorway 3 so as to provide protection from the sun or to keep the doorway dry. The triangular shade 6, possibly made from light weight canvas, is supported by a single adjustable pole 5 hooked through a hole 9 in the shade. The edges of the shade may be provided with sleeves for sectional poles to be located therein. A further side shade 8 may be located to either side of the triangular shade, said side shade being attached by means of a zip located behind flaps 7 at the edges of the triangular shade. The pole 5 and side shade 8 may be pegged to the ground, and the pole may also be provided with a guy rope.

The vee shape is kept, taught by means of three adjustable poles in side the outer edge of awning They are sectionabl,e for storage, as is the main single pole that supports the front of the awning.

Claims (10)

  1. Claims A Triangular sun shade, frame with 3 equel lenth adjustable light waight poles The canvase to fit into caravan awning rail, the poles are held in sleeves under outer edge of Awning, giving a tight shape to canvas. The ends of poles fit into ends of canvas The outer edge of canvas to have a 3 inch drop, to cover the zip on both sides.
    The drop panel can the be zipped to awning one side or the other. Re the sun position The pane ito have 3 tie down for pegs The front of the awning to have hole for the adjustable pole with hook on to top.
    The pole to have plate at base for peg.

    Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows Claims 1. An awning suitable for attachment to a caravan, said awning comprising a triangular shade member, a single support pole and a removable wall, wherein the shade member has a first side attached in use to the caravan, and second and third sides which converge to a point where the support pole is attached so as to provide ground support, the removable wall being attachable to either of the second and third sides so as to hang substantially vertically downwards in use.
  2. 2. An awning as claimed in claim 1 comprising adjustable length poles located in sleeves along the three sides of the shade member so as to provide rigidity to said shade member.
  3. 3. An awning as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 wherein the first side of the shade member is attachable in use to an awning rail of the caravan.
  4. 4. An awning as claimed in any of the preceding claims wherein the removable wall is attachable to either the second or third side of the shade member by means of a zip fastening.
  5. 5. An awning as claimed in claim 4 wherein the shade member has flaps along the second and third sides which overhang the zip fastenings in use.
  6. 6. An awning as claimed in any of the preceding claims wherein the removable wall is pegged in use to the ground.
  7. 7. An awning as claimed in any preceding claim wherein the support pole has a hook at its upper end for engagement with a corresponding hole in the shade member.
  8. 8. An awning as claimed in any preceding claim wherein the support pole is
    adjustable.
  9. 9. An awning as claimed in any preceding claim wherein the support pole has a base for additional peg support.
  10. 10. An awning as claimed in any preceding claim wherein the support pole is provided with a guy rope. C0
