Abstract
A removable ground anchor system comprising three parts including; a tapered stem piece a fixed below the ground surface, the tapered stem piece shaped to receive a neck piece b threaded or slotted therein, where the neck piece is arranged to receive an object such as a fence post, and where the stem piece may be concealed by a capping piece c insertable into the stem piece when the post is removed. The capping piece may be covered with a disguising material such as artificial turf when used in a grassed area.
Description
REMOVABLE ANCHOR SYSTEM
This invention relates to an anchor system that is removable.
As we already know, fixing an object or post of any description to the ground has in the past relied on two methods, concreting into the ground or fixed via an anchor system that protrudes above ground level.
According to the present invention, any object such as a fence post may be fixed iti position and anchored securely, or if not needed, removed leaving one half of the anchor below the surface and capped with a screw in lid that seals the void and can be covered to match it's surroundings.
This invention will now be described in greater detail by way of example with reference tb the accornpnying drawings in which; Fig. I shows the anchor bihg fixed below the ground Fig. 2 the method of securing the post Fig.3 the removable lid Referring to the drawings, the anchor system comprises of three parts, the anchor stem (I), made from steel or tough plastic, the removable fixing neck (2) and the removable cap (3).
(1) The anchor stem can either be driven into the ground using the pronged tool provided or concreted into the ground, making sure that the anchor stem is just below ground level.
(2) The fixing neck, comprising of various sizes for different applications i then fixed to the desired object, i.e fence post and screwed or slotted into place.
(3) Once the object is not needed or removed for a short time, the neck can be removed and the cap screwed into place.
Claims (4)
- CLAiMS I This anchor system is made from either steel or plastic and istherefore tough enough to with stand normal conditions that other anchor systems may encounter.
- 2 This anchor system as mentioned in claim I is fixed below the surface of the ground preventing a hazard when object, (i.e) post is not in use.
- 3 This anchor system, as mentioned in claim l&2 will assist in fitting objects such as fence posts by being twisted around, ninety degrees at a time, creating the object to lower or rise which in turn will adjust the height, thus creating a level to other objects already fixed.
- 4 This anchor system, with the lid engaged will appear to be invisible, as the lid will be able to comprise the same material or similar as the surrounding area. i.e astro-turf when used in a grass area.ABSTRACTRemovable Anchor System The removable anchor system is a three part system which enables objects, such as a fence post to be fixed to the ground, but removed when not needed, leaving the anchor invisible to the naked eye. The stem (a) is fixed below the surface of the ground and will except an object (i.e a fence post) via a threaded or slotted neck (b) that is attached to the object, and is twisted into position. After the object is removed, the stem is then sealed with a cap (c) that is covered with the same or similar material as the surrounding surface area. z
