Abstract

A pull out drawer located behind the plinth of a cabinet utilises the additional space found under a kitchen cupboard without the need for altering the existing cupboards. The drawers are slidably attached to the underneath surface of the cupboards via runners and are fronted by the cut out plinth. The drawers may come as a flat pack for easy assembly with additional accessories including a variety of trays or handles A, B.

Description

THE FLOOR DOORS
Small kitchens need to find more space. I found that extra space underneath the cupboards behind the plynth which hides the legs (to be found in most modern kitchens) My design is simple, effecient-effective Draws are fitted under the cupboards fronted by the previously cut out plynth to match surrounds I have used mine for a year.
They slide in on a runner. They are 5"cm back from the cupboards front. So are safe The plynths are exactly where they were before the draws were inserted.
They have many uses.

Claims (7)

CLAIMS FLOOR DRAWS
1. This is a unique use of space, within everyones reach and everbodies pocket.
2. The flat pack is easy to assemble and will come with assesories IE:-tray for fruit and veg -draw handle type A or B on drawing figure 1
3. They store heavy items, so much more safely, for example - woks irons -mincers etc. No danger of dropping on you.
4. They slide away all the objects you need to have at hand, helps to keep tops clear and un cluttered
5. You can store fruit & veg in them, ground level is the coolest part of the kitchen and the darkest part ideal for keeping fruit & veg at their best for longer.
6. They will come in various sizes I have one who measures 32" wdth 18" depth x 6" hieght.
7. People will also be able to purchase a cheaper edition with a simple stick on runner.
