Moulding ceilings in situ.-A ceiling, formed of plaster in which are embedded strips of canvas or scrim, and suspended from girders, joists, and the like by wires or canvas strips, is moulded by metal moulds b, mounted on wooden frames, and supported from the joists by bolts a, Fig. 1, or from girders m, Fig. 3, by adjustable bolts l. The bolts l are adjustable in sleeves S which are pivoted on slides adapted to work on a rod R and to be positioned according to the distance between girders. A pawl u, which maintains the hangers l in vertical position, can be released to allow the mould to be removed, the hangers being withdrawn through holes in the ceiling.
