Abstract

A label or parking ticket holder is made up of a simple sheet of material which collects static charge, and can be pressed against a surface such as a vehicle window, to hold a label or ticket against the surface, by the static charge interaction between the sheet and the surface. The sheet has the words Pay and Display written on the front of holder. The sheet may be transparent, and may feature a border and indicia around an outer edge, indicating the nature of the label contained within, such as a pay and display indication.

Self-cling parking ticket holder for vehicle windscreens The parking ticket holder, called the ParkaPatch, has been invented to solve the problem of displaying parking tickets safely, clearly and securely in a vehicle windscreen.
It is made from a single square patch of transparent self-cling electrostatic material which adheres fully on contact to the inside of the windscreen with the parking ticket held firmly between the patch and the windscreen. The material is self-cling and does not have any adhesive on it, therefore it leaves no residue and can be used over and over again.
The basic patch is a square measuring 110mm X 110mm and approx 1mm thick, made from transparent material, with a 1mm coloured border on both edges, and a 25mm coloured section at the top containing the words "PAY + DISPLAY" with a smaller 15mm coloured section at the bottom containing the words "parkapatch.com". Please see Figure 1 for a drawing. There are numerous variations to size, text, colour and shape but in any alternative format the patch will always remain a single sheet of printed self-cling material of approx. 1mm thickness.
When displayed on the inside of the windscreen, from the outside view the patch will read "PAY + DISPLAY" above the ticket and with "parkapatch.com" below, as displayed in Figure 2 of the attached drawings.

Claims (14)

  1. CLAIMS: PATENT APPLICATION 0705589.0 1. A patch comprising a single
    sheet of transparent self-cling electrostatic material intended to convey on its front side the printed text PAY + DISPLAY and other printed information
  2. 2. A patch according to Claim I wherein the printed text varies in colour, design and wording
  3. 3. A patch according to Claim I wherein the entire patch has self-cling properties
  4. 4. A patch according to Claim 1 wherein both front and back surfaces contain printed areas
  5. 5. A patch according to any of the above claims which may be applied to the internal surface of a window or windscreen with the intention that the text and any other images contained may be viewed from the external surface of the windscreen or window
  6. 6. A patch according to any of the above claims which has the intention of covering fully and holding in place between itself and an internal windscreen or window any document, ticket, card or similar printed information pertaining to a motor vehicle
  7. 7. A patch according to any of the above claims which is generally square in peripheral outline
  8. 8. A patch according to any of the above claims which is generally circular in peripheral outline
  9. 9. A patch according to any of the above claims which is shaped in relation to the peripheral outline of the text or image printed thereon or any variation thereof
  10. 10. A patch according to any of the above claims which is supplied to a potential user on a backing sheet from which it is removed for use
  11. 11. A patch according to any of the above claims which is supplied on a backing sheet as outlined in Claim 8, the backing sheet of which is printed with instructions for use and any other printed information pertaining to the specific patch
  12. 12. A patch substantially described herein with reference to and/or illustrated by the accompanying drawings
  13. 13. Any novel feature or novel combination of features described herein and/or illustrated in the accompanying drawings
  14. 14. Any version, variation or adaptation of the patch and/or its features and designs as described in all of the above claims
