Abstract

A label or parking ticket holder is made up of a simple sheet of material which collects static charge, and can be pressed against a surface such as a vehicle window, to hold a label or ticket against the surface, by the static charge interaction between the sheet and the surface. The sheet may be transparent, and may feature a border and indicia around an outer edge, indicating the nature of the label contained within, such as a pay and display indication.

Self-cling parking ticket holder for vehicle windscreens The parking ticket holder, called the ParkaPatch, has been invented to solve the problem of displaying parking tickets safely, clearly and securely in a vehicle windscreen.
It is made from a single square patch of transparent self-cling electrostatic material which adheres fully on contact to the inside of the windscreen with the parking ticket held firmly between the patch and the windscreen. The material is self-cling and does not have any adhesive on it, therefore it leaves no residue and can be used over and over again.
The patch is a square measuring 110mm X 110mm and approx 1mm thick, made from transparent material, with a 1mm coloured border on both edges, and a 25mm coloured section at the top containing the words "PAY + DISPLAY" with a smaller 15mm coloured section at the bottom containing the words "parkapatch.com". Please see Figure 1 for a drawing.
When displayed on the inside of the windscreen, from the outside view the patch will read "PAY + DISPLAY" above the ticket and with "parkapatch.com" below, as displayed in Figure 2 of the attached drawings.

  1. CLAIMS: PATENT APPLICATION 20/03/2007 1. Manufactured from transparent
    self-cling electrostatic film material, the parking ticket holder uses no adhesives and fully re-usable, can be positioned and re-positioned anywhere on the windscreen for optimal visibility and is veiy easy to use as the material automatically clings on contact
  2. 2. The parking ticket holder does not contain any adhesive, will not melt or peel in the sun or crack in the cold or leave any residue on the windscreen, the self-cling material can withstand the typical heat or cold of a car windscreen at both extremes
  3. 3. The parking ticket holder is a single component made from one piece of printed transparent self-cling material, does not have any pockets, clips or additional mechanisms, simple manufacturing process
  4. 4. The parking ticket holder is highly visible, a one coloured border increases visibility of the patch and "PAY + DISPLAY" title makes function clear and obvious to motorists and parking attendants so patch cannot be mistaken for a tax disc or similar windscreen holder
  5. 5. The parking ticket holder's transparent central panel ensures clear, safe, flat display of ticket allows adequate room for a machine purchased parking ticket to be completely covered and held flat
  6. 6. The parking ticket holder's self-cling properties make the ticket being held wind proof and curl proof, the ticket will not fall down out of view or turn over
  7. 7. The parking ticket holder is large enough to make a visual impact yet when positioned correctly will not interfere with the motorist's view, it can be stored in a glove box when not in use or left on windscreen
  8. 8. The parking ticket holder is manufactured in a range of colours available to blend or contrast with colour of vehicle depending on motorists preference
