Abstract

A chairbag made from one piece of durable fabric that has been folded and stitched to provide storage in the primary classroom. The chairbag is positioned over the backrest. Its contents are easily accessible whilst individuals are seated.

Description

Background
With the increasing class sizes in many schools, class space is becoming increasingly valuable. It is therefore necessary to provide as much storage as possthte without wasting classroom space.
Statement of Lrwerttion
To overcome wasting valuable space this invention uses existing classroom furniture to provide extra storage.
Advantage 1. Keeps classroom tidy white providing valuable storage for items such as pencil cases, exercise books and general cLassroom equipment.
2. The bag is easiLy accessible whilst seated and therefore prevents unnecessary movement.
3. The chairbag comes in. 3 sIzes, this ensures that the chair sizes throughout primary schooL are catered for.
Introduction to drawirt
An example of the choirbag will now be described by referring to the following drawings.
* Figure 1 -shows a rectangular piece of fabric 85cm x 30cm it is hemmed at the shorter sides. The fabric is folded on tine b so that Line a meets line c. Line c is folded under.
* Figure2 -shows the folded fabric.
* Figure 3 -once folded the two longer sides are stitched through all 3 layers to make the finished chairbag.
* Figure 4 -shows a school chair and how the chairbag will be fitted. The smaller flap is positioned over the back of the chair covering the backrest. The larger enveLope section hangs over the back of the chair. Access is through the opening at the top.
* Ftgure5 -shows the front and back views of the chairbag completed and fitted.
