Abstract

A window opening and closing window device 1 preferably comprises a handle 6 that is used to activate a striking plate 4, in order to operate a window handle lock. An open end 2 may be provided that engages the window lock, and which may include a turning mechanism 5 for adjustment of the open end to a choice of angular positions. The device may also have attachment means 7 that can hold a wiper 10 for the cleaning of windows.

Description

Window Opener & Closer This invention relates to a device for ease of
opemng and closing of windows in difficult to reach areas.
This is achieved by a length of tube which is angled at either end. One angled end is opened and fits over the window handle. When the window opening and closing device is tilted this action disengages the window handle lock, it can now be turned and the opened. This device also locks the windows by the user reversing the opening instructions by pulling, tilting and engaging the window lock.
The opposite angled end is hand held and has a fitting attachment to accept a window wiper to clean windows in difficult to reach area.
This invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows the opening and closing device side on.
Figure 2 shows a close up of the open end with the striking plate Figure 3 shows window cleaning attachment.
In figure 1 the opening and closing device I has an open end 2 with a cut out 3 the striking plate 4 disengages the window handle lock when tilting the handle end 6 at an angle. The open end also has a turning mechanism 5 which turns offering a choice of positions for difficult to reach window handles. On closing a window the operating procedure is reversed by pulling and turning the handle 6 the opposite way until it engages the widow handle locking mechanism. The window opening and closing device can now be removed. The attachment 7 holds a separate window wiper for ease of cleaning windows, which is described in figure 3. The two angled ends as above are joined together by an extensions tube 8.
In figure 2 shows closer detail of the open end 2 head on and the cut out 3, which is in front of the striking plate 4. The turning mechanismS offers a choice of positions to engage the window handle at different angles.
In figure 3 is a window-cleaning wiper, which can be attached. The body of the window wiper 10 grips the wiper blade 9 the attachment 11 slots into 7 the handled end of the opening and closing window device as shown in figure 1.

  1. Claims I. This unique and simple design enables the user assistance in
    easy opening and closing of windows in difficult to reach areas.
  2. 2. Limited strength is required to operate this device.
  3. 3. A simple striking plate has different positions to enable ease of use.
  4. 4. The device has also an attachment for cleaning windows.
