Abstract

A freestanding device for transferring fishing line from a storage spool to a rod reel. The device comprises a frame A having a runner bar G for supporting a spool of fishing line (not shown). A tension arm C is connected to the frame and is allowed to rest on top of the spool. A wing nut F and spring H combination are used to apply pressure to the tension arm and consequently the spool. The fishing line on the spool is therefore under tension as it is wound onto the rod reel.

Description

Spooi Runner The spool runner is used for winding fishing line, from a
spool of line to a fishing reel.
To use, lift out bar (G) from the body A or B', slide the spool of line on to the bar and replace the spool, and bar back in to the body.
Then lift the runner arm (C), and place it on top of the spool.
If you are ready to wined the line, from the spooi to the reel, you cane tighten the wing nut (F) down to put tension on the spring (I-I), witch will put pressure on the runner arm (C) and also the spool.
Witch will also put tension on the fishing line, when it is wound onto the reel.
The body cane be made from wood with metal or plastic runner's.
The body cane also be made from plastic moulding with metal or plastic runner's.
Spool runner A is used for corse fishing line. Spool runner B is used for corse and sea fishing line.
A. Is the sides and base that make up the body, so is B. C. Is the tension arm, that rests on top of the fishing line spool.
D. Is the tension arm bar, that run's through the body and the tension arm.
E. All thread bar. That passes through the A hole in the tension arm.
F. Wing nut that screws on to the threaded bar.
G. Runner bar that the spool of fishing line slides on to.
H. Tension spring. Clips onto the bottom of of the all thread bar through the small hole.
I. Spring runner bar. Passes through the body, to carry the string, so when you tighten wing not on top of tension arm, it puts presure on to the fishing line spool.
