Abstract

A shopping trolley that has a spring loaded base that lowers and rises in direct relation to the goods carried in it, so that the goods may be more easily added and removed without the need for the user to reach down. The springs may be concealed within the corner posts of the trolley.

<p>TITLE OF INVENTION</p>
<p>Easy Reach Shopping Trolley</p>
<p>BACKGROUND</p>
<p>This invention relates to a shopping trolley with a spring loaded base.</p>
<p>At present shopping trolleys have a [ixed base. Customers have the choice of either a shallow base depth trolley, or, a deep base depth trolley. The customers choice is often dictated by physical restrictions i.e. the disabled, pregnant, customers with back problems etc and can find the deep trolleys difficult to use due to the need to stretch to reach the base of the deep trolley when both loading and unloading shopping.</p>
<p>ADVAN'I'AGES The easy reach shopping trolley is a shopping trolley with a difference, as groceries/goods are added the sprung base will gradually move down in direct relation to the weight placed on it. At the checkout the system works in reverse ensuring that as groceries/goods are removed at the checkout, the base rises up, thereby offering up the next item to the top of the trolley removing the need to reach down.</p>
<p>Then the trolley can be stacked as normal when empty.</p>
<p>DETAILED DESCRIPTION</p>
<p>l'he easy reach shopping trolley is designed to make shopping more comfortable. A spring mounted base allows it to move up and down in direct relation to the amount of shopping placed in it. The springs are concealed within the four corner uprights, it not only provides more volume (up to 270 ltr) it also removes the need to bend over, or reach down into the trolley. cz-</p>

Claims (1)

  1. <p>CLAIMS</p>
    <p>A shopping trolley with a spring loaded base.</p>
    <p>As goods are placed in the trolley the base will lower in direct relation to weight placed into it to a maximum depth.</p>
    <p>As goods are removed from the trolley the base will rise up in direct relation to the weight removed from it to its maximum height.</p>
    <p>The trolleys can he stacked into each other when not in use.</p>
