Abstract

A receptacle, for example a glass, tumbler or cup, that holds the majority of its contents when it is knocked over. The receptacle has a low centre of gravity that will keep the receptacle and contents stable on an uneven surface up to an angle of 45 degrees. The receptacle may have a solid base 2 which gives weight or may be weighted to give a low centre of gravity. The receptacle may have fluting (1, Fig 3) on the outside of the receptacle that will prevent the receptacle from rolling when inverted to a 45 degree angle, the fluting may be used as indicator of the optimum filling level of the receptacle.

Description

<p>(1) 2435199 UNSPILLABLE GLASS.</p>
<p>This invention relates to a receptacle, be it a glass, tumbler, or cup. Which is specifically designed to hold its contents, or a majority of its contents when knocked over.</p>
<p>The present invention proposes a design of which the profile and low centre of gravity, will keep the receptacle and contents stable on uneven surfaces, up to an angle of 45 .</p>
<p>The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows the profile of the receptacle design in relation to the angle of inversion. (2)</p>
<p>Figure 2 Shows a fill level indication and solid base.</p>
<p>Figure 3 Shows fluting which can be used as a fill level indicator and prevent roll.</p>
<p>Figure 1 Shows spill level of contents (2) when inverted to 45 Figure 2 Shows the solid base (2) which gives weight or can be weighted, giving low centre of gravity to receptacle.</p>
<p>Figure 3 Shows fluting (1) This will prevent receptacle rolling when inverted to a 450 angle. (3)</p>

Claims (2)

  1. <p>CLAIMS.</p>
    <p>1. A receptacle, glass, tumbler or cup. Designed specifically not to spill all of its contents, when inverted up to an angle of 450*
  2. 2. A receptacle, glass, tumbler or cup according to claim 1, that will remain stable when placed on uneven surfaces.</p>
    <p>3. A receptacle, glass, tumbler or cup according to claim 1, designed not to roll when inverted to 45 .</p>
    <p>4. A receptacle, glass, tumbler or cup according to claim 1, has a profile and low centre of gravity, designed to be stable up to an angle of 45 .</p>
