Conical mills. - A vertical conical mil for grinding dry granular product comprises a fixed feeding-funnel 6 with fixed cone 7 at the top of the mill, a rotatable conica smooth outer grind ing-member 3, and a stationary conical smooth inner grind ing-member 1 with its apex at the top the grinding - space between the members diverging upwards and the inner mem ber being adjustable vertically. The outer member 3 is carried by a spider mounted on the vertical shaft 11, which is driven through bevel-gearing 9, 10 from the driving-shaft 15. The inner cone 1 is adjustable vertically by means of the adjusting-device 2. The distributing-cone 7 arranged within the funnel 6 directs the material to be ground through the inlet 8 on to the surface 5 of the inner cone. The ground material falls through the annular space 12 at the lower end of the cones into the outlet funnel 13 and discharge passage 14.
