Abstract

242,523. Miles, N. L. April 14, 1925. Confectionery or sweetmeats. - A hollow confection consists of two opposed tablets with interconnected cavities therein, a supporting-stud being positioned in a cavity of each tablet, the studs abutting against one another and supporting the cavity walls. As shown in Fig. 3, the tablets 1, having supporting-studs 4, are moulded with a connecting-strip 2 which acts as a hinge when the tablets are folded together, whilst still plastic, to form the confection. The strip 2 has inclined faces which abut against the faces 9, 10 of the tablets and seal the edge of the confection. A stick or handle 7 mav be inserted in one of the tablets, and passages to and from the internal cavity may be arranged to form a whistle.
