Abstract
A threaded mount for insertion into bored, threaded receptacles, particularly in the steering/cockpit area of motorcycles or motor scooters, comprises a threaded element 1 and a connecting device 2, such as a ball joint, to which accessory platforms can be secured. Additional elements 3 may be provided to accommodate variations in size.
Description
24 1 5672 Descrintion
A MOUNT FOR MOUNTING ACCESSORIES TO ANY BORED AND
THREADED OR UNTHREADED RECEPTACLE ON A MOTORCYCLE, MOTORISED TRICYCLE OR MOTORISED SCOOTER.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mount for insertion into any bored and threaded or unthreaded element or receptacle in or on a motorcycle, motorised tricycle or motorised scooter cockpiVsteering area to enable the mounting of but not exclusive to accessory mounting systems.
The mount having a threaded element, the primary material being stainless steel but not necessarily restricted to stainless steel, any other suitable material could be used including but not exclusive to metals, alloys, plastics, nylon materials.
An element to accept mounting systems, the mounting element having the facility to accept an accessory mounting system, this could be a ball system, knuckle system, ball joint, 't' piece or any number of alternate methods.
Additional elements if needed, to allow expandability or to accommodate size variations or differences. The additional elements; integral to the threaded element or separate to the threaded; the primary material being stainless steel but not necessarily restricted to stainless steel, any other suitable material could be used, for example, metals, alloys, plastics, nylon materials, rubber materials.
Mounts do not exist which provide a simple and stable accessory mounting facility for connection to bored and threaded or unthreaded receptacles in or on a motorcycle, motorised tricycle or motorised scooter cockpiVsteering area.
It would therefore be desirable and advantageous to provide an appropriate mounting facility, which allows the mounting of systems in a stable and secure manner.
The invention will now be further described by way of a figure example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which; Fig. 1 shows a view of the mount according to the present invention including additional size variation elements.
Fig. 2 shows a view of the mount according to the present invention with additional size variation elements incorporated.
Throughout all of the Figures, same or corresponding elements are indicated by the same reference numerals.
Fig. 1 Shows the mount threaded element 1, with the mount accepting facility 2, and additional elemenVs 3.
Fig. 2 Shows the mount additional sizing element 3 incorporated onto the threaded element 1.
