Abstract

This invention relates to a vehicle that operates from air under pressure. This air powered car is designed to run efficiently on compressed air supplied by an air compressor 2. The compressed air provides the power to the vehicle. The concept of this system would provide power to a motor vehicle in a cost-efficient, environmentally friendly manner. Particularly, it relates to a vehicle capable of maintaining the pressure in its compressor 2 and a turbo air vacuum 3. This concept is intended to serve as a means where motor vehicle could be powered by air in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner, by reducing the need for petrol to drive internal combustion engines and thus eliminating much of the pollutants emitted by vehicles powered by fossil fuels. The concept entitles the incorporation of a system that would utilise air to power the vehicle.

Description

24 1 4974 THE AIR POWERED Cal
General description of the product
The Air - Powered Car system is capable of being used in any kind of industry The concept of this propulsion system would provide power to a motor vehicle in a cost - efficent, environmentally- friendly manr,er. Particularly, it relates to a vehicle capable of maintaining the pressure In its compressor and a turbo air vacuum.
To accomplish this, the air - powered car would be configured as shown in the accompanying illustrations Fig 1 & Fig 2. The concept is intended to serve as a means where motor vehicle could be powered by air in an efficient and environmentally Diendly manner, by reducing the need for petrol to drive u2temal combustion engines and thus eliminating much of the pollutants emitted by vehicles powered by fossil fuels. The concept entitles the incorporation of a system that would utilise compressed air to power the vehicle.
No mayor changes in the construction of the vehicle would be required. With the exception ofthe petrol hne which would be converted to an air pipe, the carburettor which would be eliminate, the valves would be replaced with sparks and petrol tank with compressor The primary benefits offered by The Air Powered Car would be cost savings, improved performance and environmental friendliness. The cost savings benefit would be realised through the way in which this device would eliminate the need for costly fossil fuels to power the vehicle. The performance benefit would be achieved through the way in which this concept would enable a motor vehicle to operate in a more efficient manner that would be the case if conventional fuels were used. A third' and perhaps more important benefit would be the broader environmental aspects in terms of the reduction in the amount of the worlds resources that would be required to generate power and a lessening of the pollutants released into the atmosphere as a result of using fossil fuels to power a motor vehicle.
DETAILED DlSCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Refemng now to the drawings and particularly to Fig 1 there is shown a compressed air powered motor vehicle, Battery 1 would start the air compressor 2. Compressed air will be sacked by turbo air vacuum 3 and compressed air would then be channelled through the pipes 4 to the valves 10 which replace spark plugs. Valves 10 are control by electronic control box 9 which will release the compressed air to the cylinders 6 by electric cables 12. Electric power would cause valves to open and shut such that the compressed a* would be pushed into the cylinders 6. As air enters, the cylinders would start the engine S. Engine would then be in full operation. Belt 7 located at the front of the engme would be connected to a dynamo 8 that would charge the battery 1 and thus keep the system running. Cooling Fan 11 will cool the system Hot air will be expelled through exhaust 13 heat vents.
Fig 2 is a diagram of another embodiment of the compression mechanism of the compressed Air Powered Car - The Electricity Generator Battery I would start the air compressor 2. Compressed air will be sacked by turbo air vacuum 3 and compressed air would then be channelled through the pipes 4 to He valves 7 Valves 7 are control by electronic control box 9 which will release the compressed air to the cylinders 6 by electric cables 10. Electric power would cause valves to open and shut such that the compressed air would be pushed into the cyhnders 6. As air enters, the cylinders would start the engine 5. Engine would then be in full operation. Dynamo 8 located in front of the engine 5 would be charg ng the battery 1 and supply electricity to the power pylons t 1 and thus keep the system running Hot air will be expelled through exhaust 12 heat vents
