Abstract

A block for closing a cavity in a wall horizontally has a face 1 adapted to abut the back of the outer leaf and a face 3 adapted to be laid on the top of the inner leaf of the cavity wall, face 2 being of a width corresponding to that of the cavity.

THE WALLING BLOCK
The invention relates to walling block which can close cavity walls horizontally.
At present when the cavity wall needs closing, blocks have to be cut down to 135mm and cemented on top of the wall then a brick also has to be cut and cemented on top of the wall which then closes the cavity.
My invention is to make a purpose made block which will sit on top of the wall and close the cavity neatly without having to cut blocks and bricks.
The walling block will close the cavity off horizontally.
The top of the block is extended which closes off the cavity horizontally.
It is much easier, neater, saves time on labour and there will be less waste of materials.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawling in which: Figure 1 shows front elevation of the whole block Figure 2 shows side elevation of the whole block Figure 3 shows back elevation of the whole block Figure 4 shows plan of the whole block Figure 5 shows 3D elevation of the whole block
THE WALLING BLOCK
As shown in figure 2 the feront of the cavity closer 1 is butted up against the back of the facing wall with damp proof course in between.
The width of the cavity 2 can vary in sine depending on the width of the cavity.
The bottom of the block 3 is cemented on Cop of the inner wall and can vary in width size.

Claims (1)

1 A walling block which is extended to close a cavity wall horizon tally 2 A block as in claim 1 where the block has an overhang on its top side 3 The block as in claim; and 2 is shaped whereby the overhag closes the cavity 4 A block has claimed in any proceeding claim which is made from concrete, thermalite, ash or clay or from a combination of these materials.
