LATERALLY OPENED CONTAINER
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to laterally opened container, And relates more particularly to the improvement in the structure of a laterally opened container body.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The applicant submitted the patent application named Laterally opened Container to Patent Office of PRO on Sept. 22, 200O, and was endowed new and utilized patent right with patent No. 00239535.5 and authorized announcement No. CN2450157Y on Sept.26, 2001.The laterally opened container has a trapezia middle wall mounted in the longitudinal direction and the platform is mounted aslant, which increases the overall strength of its container body, effectively prevents its container body from distortion, and makes up for the strength; on the other hand, the middle wall divides the whole container body into two individual loading space, which protect the goods from waggling during transportation while not like in ordinary containers and therefore increase security in transportation.
However, the new applied patent mentioned above does not get a well connection between the middle wall and the lateral beam in the container body, and the intensity of the middle wall is disabled in strengthening the lateral beam. According the description of the new applied patent above, the middle wall is set between the top center sill and the floor, while both sides of the top side center sill stand in the top connection with the top beam! and both sides of the top beam are connected to the lateral beam with corner fittings. When some vehicle carrying this container gets around a turn, the inward cargo usually generates a pressure to the lateral of the container, and the pressure will spread to the lateral beam. In order to get the lateral beam have adequate intensity to reply to this pressure, the new applied patent above adopts counter measures to install a slipping column between the lateral beam and the downside sill on the same side. But the slipping column might lessen the convenience of loading and unloading from this side.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a new laterally opened container, wherein the container has good structure and strength, and it can be loaded and unloaded conveniently without fixed or slipping vertical post mounted to support the lateral beam of the container body.
The technical scheme provided by the present invention is a new laterally opened container, which is composed of bottom plaffomm, comer post, front wall, end wall and container top. The above-mentioned container top includes a pair of lateral beams connected between the top back corner post and the top front comer post, a top center sill stands in the longitudinal center line of the container top, a top beam, that is vertical with the corresponding lateral beam and is connected to two corner posts at its ends. On the bottom piafform, there is no dummy plate mounted along the bottom in long direction. The bottoms of all the dummy plates are connected with the bottom plaffomm, their upside parts are connected to the container top, and their back and front parts are respectively connected to the back and front ends. The dummy plates divide the whole container body of the container into two independent spaces. The characteristics of the container include that both sides of the middle part of the top center sill in the container body are respectively connected with one or more top center beams symmetrically and the other end of the top center sill is connected to the lateral beam in the container body.
Compared with new applied patent No. CN2450157Y, the top center sill in the container body of the laterally opened container according to the present invention is not only connected to the top beam and the lateral beam at its ends but also both sides of its middle part are respectively connected with one or more top center beams symmetrically, which preferably strengthens the lateral beam and gets different kinds of pressures to the lateral beam run across the container top and spread to the dummy plates in the middle parts of the container body. In this way, there is no need to install any fixed or slipping supporting upright post on the side of the container to support the lateral beam, while the best structural strength of the container body is still guaranteed. The container can be protected from distortion and loaded and unloaded conveniently.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
As FIG. 1 shows, the laterally opened container according to the present invention includes bottom plaffomm (marked with 1), corner posts 2 in each of four comers of the bottom platform 1, end wall 4 connected with the front end comer posts, end wall 5 connected with the back end corner posts and container top 6 supported by corner posts 2. In addition, the container also includes dummy plate 9 mounted along the bottom in long direction. The lower brim of the dummy plate is connected with the bottom platform 1, its upper brim is connected with the container top 6, the front and back brims are respectively connected with the end wall 4 and the end wall 5. The dummy plate 9 is to not only support the container top and strengthen the overall strengthiand rigidity of the container body but also localize the loaded cargoes and fasten the cargoes in the right and the left cases, in particular, it brings conveniences to load or unload the cargoes with long shapes like rolled fommed steel and those cargoes shipped with trays.
As FIG. 1 shows, container top 6 includes a pair of lateral beams 12 connected on the top parts between the front and the back comer posts, the top center sill 13 in the longitudinal center line of the container top, the top beam 14 that is vertical with the lateral beam 12 and connected to the top part between two comer posts 2, the top tray 15 and the top center beam 18 between the lateral beam 12 and the top center sill 13. The lateral beam 12 and the top beam 14 between the comer posts 2 as well as the down side sill 3 and the end down beam 16 between the corners posts 2 are respectively connected with their own corner fittings 17. There are two top center beams 18 and corresponding connecting plates 35 are appended to the near center position of both sides of the container top. In FIG. 2, we can see that the top center beam 18 prevents the lateral beam from downside distortion under the tension pressure of the lateral when some cargo presses down upon the lateral. This feature is totally different from other structural styles, like laterally opened container and laterally opened curtain trailer compartment.
In FIG 1 and FIG 3, the bottom platform 1 is a key frame member of load supporting, which principally consists of two bottom lateral Beams 3, a bottom center sill 10, a gooseneck trough 11, a group of bottom beams 7 and the floor 8 mounted on the bottom beams 7. FIG 3 shows the end gooseneck sill, the bottom load supporting surface and the dummy plate surface structure. The floor 8, including steel floor and wooden floor, at both sides of the dummy plate 9 has inward declivitous incline, namely, the connection brim of the floor and the side bottom sill 3 is higher than the connecting brim of the dummy plate 9. Both surfaces 31 of the dummy plate have upward inward incline. The section plane of the dummy plate in transverse direction is a top-narrow-and-bottom-wide ladder structure. The nip angle between the incline on the bottom surface and the incline of the dummy plate is equal to or bigger than 90 degree. The upper surface 36 of the gooseneck sill 11 is also inclined with the same slop as that of the bottom surface 8. The bottom surface of the tray cargo 32 in the container body and the surface opposite to the body case are respectively touch the surface of the bottom floor and the surface of the dummy plate to full extent, which effectively prevents the cargoes from being loosen and ensure the security of the loaded cargoes.
In FIG 4, 5 and 6, we can see that, being a further improvement of the present invention, the container body has a special lateral tension device. The upside part of the lateral 19 is hanged on the slipping track 21 with roller 20, and the slipping track 21 and the lateral Beam 12 is connected with a group of clinchers 22. The front end of the lateral 19 is directly connected with the fulcra 26 of the front end lateral in the opening inner chamber of a comer post 2 with clinchers 38.The back end of the lateral 19 is also connected to the back end lateral fulcra 39 in the opening inner chamber of another corner post 2. The upper end of the fulcra 26 is inserted in the lower aperture of the upper corner fittings 17. Meanwhile, the lower end aperture of the fulcra 26 is connected to the output port of the lateral tension mechanism 30. When the tension mechanism 30 is working under outer force, the fulcra 26 will accordingly sums, and the lateral will be entwined onto the fulcra 26, so as to achieve the purpose of tensioning the lateral. When the mechanism reversely works, the lateral will be loosen and slide along the side surface of the container body. The end lateral fulcra 38 remain in the opening inner chamber of the corner post 2 via the upper and lower baffle 37 on the back end comer post 2 during the curtain tension procedures or the loosen state. The water-resisting top brim 33 is arc-shaped, and its upper parts is mounted in the lateral channel of the slipping track 21, while the bottom of the water-resisting top brim 33 is close up to the curtain surface of the slipping lateral 19, so as to prevent cargoes from being wetted.
FIG 7 is the installation scheme of the lateral tension device. The adopted tension device 30 is a ratchet wheel and pallet running gear, which has preferable self-locking force. Therefore, during any transportation process, the lateral won't be loosen because of the shaking container body but keep tension state all the time.
Major advantages of the lateral container according to the present invention comprising: The container has two independent loading spaces, adopts the loading method localized by the dummy plate and is a very exact, time saving and economical cargo protection approach. The second level tray and other things can be easily placed in the right places against the dummy plate. During the transportation process, the cargo carried by the container won't be swayed as those in common containers, but securely lean against the dummy plate with high rigidity. None of the cargo will be damaged or knocked.
In particular, there is no support bars on any side of the container body, the loading and unloading is very conveniently and immediately at low costs with simple maintenance.
In addition, the invention has some other unique advantages. Although the length dimension of its container body is equal or greater than 30 feet, it still needs no lateral support, neither slipping support or pemmanent support. The new structure gets the container body simple, brings more convenience to loading and unloading operation and lowers the production costs. The technical proposal according to the present invention is not only applicable for low-independent laterally opened containers but also suitable for compartment type semitrailers.
