Abstract
Adjustable feet for ladder are attached to the end of a ladder 11. They comprise a threaded bar 12, a threaded base plate 13 to be inserted into the leg of the ladder, a locking nut 14 for locking the feet in a desired position and a rubber foot 16 to help grip the ground. The locking nut can be used to lengthen or shorten the feet to allow them to both touch the ground at the same time to make the ladder more stable.

THE DESCRIPTION
ADJUSTABLE LADDER FEET
This invention relates to adjustable ladder feet.
Ladders are well known and are used for many different reasons mainly to reach high places. They also come in many different sizes ranging from one single ladder to double ladders, To triple ladders. This means the ladders can be extended to heights to were you want to reach to Although ladders are good forms of reaching high places, in certain circumstances they can Be very dangerous, as both ladder legs should sit on the floor at the same ffme, sometimes only one base of the Ladder is touching the floor, this making the ladder wobble and unstable, due to the un even ground sometimes found when using ladders.
According to the present invention there is provided adjustable ladder feet.
The adjustable ladder feet insert" into the bottom of ladders / with a rubber foot to one end to Help grip the ground, and a moulded threaded steel bar attached to the rubber foot with a type of lock off nut To rotate threaded bar up and down when inserted into a threaded base plate, which will be in inserted into the end of any ladder.
this devise then enables the ladders to be safer when used on uneven ground. You simply adjust The lockable nut by turning with your thumb and finger. By turning the nut the threaded bar rotates up or down with the moulded rubber foot To take out the unevenness of the ground.
This making the ladders more safe to use.
A specific embodiment of the invention will know be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which figure 1/2/3/4 can be seen.
Figure 1 shows in prospective, the ladders in position with the adjustable ladder feet incorporated.
as numbers 12 113114115116. items 11 ladder legs.
Figure 2 illustrates one of the adjustable ladder feet extended by turning 14 lock off nut in a clockwise direction by this movement the steel threaded bar 12 rotates opposite to 14 this causing 12/lS/16 to slide up and down through the threaded base 13 fixed securely to 11. By rotating 14 a lock off type nut in either diction will take out the un even ground making both ladder legs touch the ground at the same ffme. Causing the ladder to be more stable instead of wobbling by the an even ground.
Figure 3 Shows both adjustable ladder feet fully extended, by rotating both 14 together in clockwise position.
Figure 4 Shows both adjustable ladder feet fully lowered back into normal position, again by turning 14 in anticlockwise direction.
Claims (5)
1. Adjustable ladder feet comprising of a rubber foot, with a threaded steel bar moulded to the foot, to form one piece, this piece meaning the rubber foot and threaded bar will have a type of lock off nut, which when turned against the threaded base plate, will rotate the one piece threaded bar and rubber foot in any direction required.
2. Adjustable ladder feet as claimed in claim 1 wherein the form of a rubber foot moulded to a threaded steel bar.
3. Adjustable ladder feet as claimed in claim I or claim 2 wherein the form of a type of lock off nut to rotate up and down the threaded steel bar.
4. Adjustable ladder feet as claimed in claim 2 or claim 3 wherein the steel threaded base plate to receive the threaded steel bar.
5. Adjustable ladder feet substantially as described herein with reference to figures 1-4 of the accompanying drawings.
