Abstract

A adaptor with a built in dimmer switch. The adaptor may be a three or two pin adaptor. The device may be plugged into a wall socket and may accept a plug for a lamp, the brightness of the lamp can then be controlled using the switch. The switch may be located on the side of the adapter and may be controlled by turning from left to right.

Description

The invention relates to a plug adaptor with a built in dimmer switch. This could be a 3 pin for United Kingdom use or a 2 pin for European use.

All plug adaptors are designed to accept one or more plugs.

If a table lamp was plugged into a conventional adaptor it could only be switched on or off.

This adaptor has a different use by means of a dimmer switch control located on the side of the unit.

The one shown in the drawing allows the user to increase or decrease the flow of electricity therefore the lamp can be made dim or bright. This would have a particular benefit at night-time outside a child's bedroom or any other location in the house.

The adaptor is best used for lighting effect. .

Claims (4)

1. A three or two pin adaptor with a built in dimmer switch.
2. An adaptor as claimed id Claim 1 which can be plugged into a wall socket can now accept a plug for a lamp.
3. An adaptor as claimed in 1 and 2 can be switched on by use of the dimmer switch.
4. An adaptor as claimed in Claim 1, Claim 2 and Claim 3 can regulate the amount of current flow to the subject 1. /( ±03 Fo m his
