Abstract
A security bar comprises a two section adjustable bar which is suitable for attachment to the interior door handles of a vehicle to prevent unauthorised access. The length of the bar is adjustable and the two sections are held together by a lockable quick release pin 3. Each section of the bar may have a formed end 1 suitable for attachment to a vehicle door handle.

- 1 VEHICLE CABIN SECURITY BAR
This invention relates to a vehicle cabin security bar.
The security of vehicle cabins is dependent on the integrity of locks accessed from the exterior.
If the integrity of these locks is infringed the cabin doors can be opened permitting unauthorized access. According to the present invention there is provided a bar of adjustable length with a securable quick release pin, which attaches to the interior cabin door handles.
A specific embodiment ofthe invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective the bar attached to the internal cabin door handles: Figure 2 illustrates two component parts of the bar and release pin and lock prior to mounting: Figure 3 shows the elements in Figure 2 prepared for easy storage: Referring to the drawing the security bar as illustrated in Fig. I comprises a two section adjustable bar fixed in length by for example a lockable pin, bolt or similar means ( not shown) adapted to attach to the vehicle cabin interior door handles by formed ends or similar means of attachment ( not shown).
In order to deploy the security bar the formed ends 1. are attached to the vehicle cabin interior door handles. The plain ends 2. are brought together at a fixed length by the quick release pin 3.

The quick release device, which facilitates emergency exit is secured by a lockable device 4.
when the vehicle is unattended as illustrated in Fig 2.
The device can be disassembled and stored conveniently as illustrated in Fig 3.
Claims (3)
- I A vehicle cabin security bar comprising a two section adjustable bar adapted to attach to the vehicle cabin interior door handles fixed in length by a lockable quick release pin.
- 2 A vehicle cabin security bar as claimed in claim 1 an internal quick release pin provides emergency exit.
- 3 A vehicle cabin security bar as claimed in claim 1 and 2 provides a means to lock the quick release pin when the vehicle is unattended.
