Abstract

A steel cap of the form shown is fixed using the holes shown to the top of a fence panel to keep out water and to stop wind bending the panel and forcing it out of channelled posts.

TOP CAP (FOR FENCE PANELS)
The top cap is a chanelled piece of 0.7 galvanised sheet steel approximately 1,820 mm x 80 trim formed along its length to form a chapel, straight on the sides and angled on the top with four holes 0 5 mm two each side for fixing.
The idea is to fit the steel chanel over the top of a fence panel and securing with 4 screws.
This will act as a water cover and as a panel strengthener to stop the wind from bending it and forcing it out of the chaneled posts thus causing them to break.
The top caps can be supplied self coloured or powder coated in various colours.

  1. Claims
    Top Cap I The Design of this Top Cap is to fit on top of a conventional Fence Panel and be Screwed in place through the holes provided This can also be screwed to the bottom
  2. 2 The idea is to make the Panel Rigid so that it gives extra support to stop the Bow when the wind blows and blows it out and usually causes it to break up, it will also give it extra protection from the Rain and Snow.
  3. 3 Fixing the Top Cap to the bottom would help to stop the Panel from rotting and give it more stability.
  4. 4 The Top Cap is to be Produced out of Galvanised Sheet Mild Steel 0.7 Thick and Painted Green Brown or any Colour they want.
