Openers and cleaners.-In a fur blowing machine an open-ended rotary screen a is provided in each chamber to collect the fur after treatment by the picker-roller p. The chamber is closed on all sides and provided with an opening b opposite the end of the screen, so that the draught set up by the picker-roller can pass out laterally. The fur collected on the screen passes on to an impervious carrier-roller d and thence to the next chamber.
