Abstract

A housing includes a hinged board portion on one side and a mirrored portion on the other. The housing has a pin attached to each end of its major longitudinal extent. The pins locate with brackets that may be wall mounted to allow the housing to rotate 360 degrees when the board is vertical. A rotatable catch allows the board to be retained or released to a horizontal use position. In use, the board is supported by two brackets that also include tubular rails for hanging of clothes.

Description

DUAL PURPOSE MIRRORED IRONING BOARD
This invention relates to an Ironing Board. Ironing Boards arc well known Householci products which comprise of a hat working surface supported on a scissor legged mechanism. I have dcsigocd a unique Ironing Board, which has innovative features. Which is easy to assemble. space saving, and acsthc,,ca'ly and [uncrionaity pleasing,. The product Is wall mounted and supported by two metal brackets, hich are shown on Figure 4.
The main body of the product pivots on two pins, which are incorporated in the bractct. These arc shown in figures 1,9 and 3.
The ironing Board is built into a main wooden shaped as in Figure 2. This main body rotates. On the front there is a mirror' which can be used as a decorative feature when the Ironing Board its not in use, this is shown in Figure 3. When the Ironing Board is required, the main body is rotated to the reverse. Situated on the top of the Ironing Board pecc there is an ova) shaped metal catch, which is moved in order to allow the hinged It oning Board to flip down for use. Allis s shown in Figure 1. The Ironing Board shown in ligure I is supported by two pieces of wood secured to the underneath of tile Ironing Board. The two pieces of wood areJoned by three pieces of metal tube which allow hanging space for iroreu Forbes. The Ironing Board is made from pieces of laninatel beech, which are shaped Into an elongated oval slape.
In order to put the Ironing Board away the Ironing Board piece is pushed upwards and the or al metal catch is moved to secure in place and ibe main body is rotated to expose the mirror.

CLAIM S
1 An Ironing Board comprises of a flat surface, on which clothes and fabrics can be placed can and ironed, which can be folded away when not in use and uses a hinge mechanism.
2 An Ironing Board as claimed in claim 1. where it is hosed in a main be,. , which co,rlprisc-.s of two sdcs, the fit omit being a mirror. the reverse the housed Ironing Board.

4. An Ironing Board as claimed where the main boldly of tle product Is wall mounted onto two brackets. Pins incorporated onto the brackets allow the main body lo he r otated.
