Abstract

238,463. Scheibe, R. Feb. 2, 1925. Sleepers and parts, arrangements of.-Railway tracks 4 are carried over iron or steel structures 1, such as bridges, by laying hollow elastic metal sleepers 3 in ballast carried by containers 2 separate from each other and individually secured to the structure. The sleepers and containers may be longitudinal or transverse and the containers have end closing-plates. The rails may be secured, as described in Specification 227,749, to sleepers of the kind described in Specification 225,947.
