Abstract

238,388. Banger, H. Sept. 8, 1924. Moulds. - In a portable block moulding machine of the type in which the moulded blocks are ejected by vertic ally - reciprocable plungers, the plungers are arranged to come into action successively, singly or in pairs, so that the resistance is overcome in stages. As shown applied to the machine described in Specification 180,505, the plunger stem F, carries a series of ejecting-plungers d<1> - - - d<4> which diminish successively in height so that upon operation of the lever G, the plunger d<1> comes first into operation and is followed by the others in sequence. Preferably the plungers are disposed in symmetrical pairs to avoid lateral strains on the stem E.
