Bakers' ovens. - In a multiple-deck bakers' oven, of the kind heated by Perkins tubes, independent furnaces a, b, of a length equal to half the width of the oven, are provided for each baking chamber c<1>, c<2>, and, in order to economize floor space, the furnaces are arranged one behind the other to the rear and at one side of the oven. As shown in Fig. 1, the furnaces a, bare disposed at different levels and are formed with -extended chambers a<1>, b<1> into which project the ends of the upper sets of heating tubes d<1>, e<1>, the lower sets d, c extending into the fireboxes a, b. The chambers a<1>, b<1> are connected by transverse box flues a<3>, b<3> to dampered outlets a<4>, b<4> leading to the stack. Fig. 3 shows, in plan, the invention applied to a row of ovens c, the arrangement of the furnaces enabling one stoking space h to serve for two pairs of furnaces.
