Abstract

A rotovator that is tractor mounted via side arm and comprises a fabricated steel plate body 1, double skinned on principal wearing faces. This body surrounds a steel rotor 2 supported on two flange bearing units (not shown) bolted through side plates. The rotor 2 has a double helix of 58 straight shaft interchangeable tines 5 and is driven by a hydraulic motor (not shown) using the tractors hydraulic power supply. There is a steel roller 3 to the rear of the unit that is height adjustable and used for levelling and setting depth of cut. The machine can be used for levelling ditch and trench infills as well as rotovating narrow inaccessible areas.

ROTOVATOR. The invention relates to a ROTOVATOR of the type, which is tractor mounted on a hydraulic side arm With standard commercially available fixing points and driven by a hydraulic motor.
Such machines can be used to level ground in difficult to reach areas, for example recently filled roadside ditches and trenches.
The object of this inventions to provide a rotovator/soil tiller that gives a 1.25meter operating width And 50mm operating depth available in inaccessible areas.
t The main rotor is slow running and has a double helix of straight shaft interchangeable lines with an adjustable configuration so as to be used on differing soil applications.
A prepared embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing.

The main rotor 2. Consists of a steel tube with two rows of steel tines 5. Arranged in a double helix configuration along its length (all tines not shown) This is supported by two standard flange-bearing units, and is driven by a hydraulic motor powered from the main tractor hydraulic supply. (Motor and bearings not shown).
There is a steel roller situated to the rear of the machine supported on two bearings and an adjustable height support 4.
The machine can be supported from a tractor side arm via the fixing brackets 6. Fixed to the top of the machine, this will give complete control of the machine whilst operating on ditch and trench leveling operations

Claims (4)

CLAIMS.
1. A rotovator that is tractor mounted
2. A rotovator as claimed in claim 1. Which has a central rotor consisting of a double helix configuration of 58 straight shaft interchangeable tines along its length.
3. A rotovator as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2. Which is hydraulically driven at a speed of between 250rpm and 350 rpm.
4. A rotovator substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
