236,985. Alexander, A. E., (Popsicle Corporation). April 8, 1924. Ice-cream and like preparations.- A frozen confection comprises an edible, portion 4, of frozen syrup, water, or sherbet mixture, and a stick 2 embedded in, and extending through the whole length of, the portion 4. The stick 2 is preferably of square section and is inserted in a test-tube or other container which is then wholly or partly filled with a suitable frozen confection. The tube is placed in a refrigerator and the confection is thus frozen to the. stick. The completed confection is removed from the tube by dipping the tube in warm water or otherwise slightly thawing the exterior of the confection. The conical portion 5 is formed by the expansion of the confection during the freezing. The confection may be made in a container of paper or like material which is torn off immediately before eating. Specification 209,692 is referred to.
