Abstract

The Plaster has a body 1 made from stretchable material in the shape and structure of a finger tip and the interior of the body is covered almost entirely in absorbent antiseptic padding 5 to ensure a very high degree of hygienic coverage of the wound. The body is adjustable by pulling on foldable base 2 towards one's hand to increase the pressure the plaster applies on the wound to reduce the bleeding. Due to the shape of the body there is only one opening for liquids to leak out from that also adds to the high standard of hygiene the plaster offers. Due to its stretchable material it does not easily unreal when ones finger bonejoints are vent. Gaps between sticky strips 4 to allow even greater room for movement and adjustability of the plaster and sticky strips 3 stick the plaster securely in place.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1> THE GLOVE PLASTER The invention relates to a glove plaster.
Plasters are well known dressings for slight wounds. After suffering several accidents to the tip of the finger myself; and unable to find a satisfactory dressing, I began to conduct research for an appropriate product. Having not found one that fulfilled all the criterion that I thought would best suit the wound I suffered; I began to create a product I thought would. My aim was to provide specialised and greater hygienic containment of ones finger tip (to accommodate more with the hygiene and first aid laws of the work place); while fitting the finger (like a glove), comfortably; securely; resiliently; flexibly (so one can move ones finger bone joints without the plaster becoming loose); and most importantly adjustable features, to accommodate with the size of finger. I used the above features to create a specialised finger strip plaster for use in the huge sphere of the manual work environment. For example ; from handling knives, and warehouse machinery to manning subscribing instruments, that is pens and electricals as keyboards. According to the present invention there is a presented a glove plaster, comprising of a body in the shape and structure of a finger tip; absorbent padded antiseptic interior, both giving means of complete hygienic coverage of ones finger tip, a foldable base acting as a handle, giving means if pulling the plaster towards the hand to increase the pressure on the wound to reduce the bleeding, two sticky strips mounted on the side that folds to become the interior, giving means of securely sticking the plaster in a place on ones finger, and intervals between the two sticky strips to allow greater movement and adjustability of the material around the finger. A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of examiner with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Figure 1 shows a cross- section of the glove plaster and all its features.
Figure 2 shows a cross-section of a close up of the sticky strips mounted on the foldable base mechanism and gaps between the strips.
Figure 3 shows a cross-section and demonstration ofthe foldable base in the folded down position as it would be when stuck securely in a place on ones finger.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Figure 4 shows a demonstrated depiction of a cross-section and demonstration of the adjustable base in the folded up position as it would be acting as a handle before the plaster is adjusted. NB // All the drawings are of cross-sections. The tangible product is symmetrical .
Referring to the drawing The Glove Plaster comprises stretchable finger shaped body fig l 1; providing complete finger tip coverage; resilient to water, implements and finger bone joints; with only one opening for fluids to pour out from. Foldable base Fig 4 1 giving means of a handle to pull the plaster to increase pressure of the plaster on the wound and reduce bleeding. Sticky strips Fig. 2 1 mounted on foldable base with means of folding towards ones skin and sticking securely in a place o ones finger Fig 31. Gaps between two sticky strips Fig 2 2 to allow even greater room for movement and adjustability of plaster and antiseptic absorbent padding Fig 1 s covering the majority of the plasters interior creating a very high degree of hygiene.
