Abstract

Apparatus for ventilating a water closet wherein the closet seat is provided with inlet apertures which communicate with a channel within the seat and also with an extraction means via ducting.

Description

2364331 TOILET SEAT EXIRACTOR.
The ventilated toilet seat is made from any suitable material (e.g. Wood, plastic, etc) and contains air inlets which can remove odours that are caused from the everyday and normal use of the toilet. The air is channeled away by ducts inside the seat to a common outlet flexible pipe at the rear of the seat. As shown in Drawing Number 1/2 the pipe can be connected to a filter unit as shown. The air is then drawn through and partly purified by the filter and then passes from the integrated fan to the air freshner, creating a much more pleasent aroma in the bathroom. The filter unit shown is of a safe extra low voltage and is automatically turned on by a sensor in the toilet seat, and the air flow is controlled by a speed controller mounted on the side of the sealed fan unit.
As shown in Drawing Number 2/2 the seat does not have to be connected to a filter, but can be connected to an air extraction system to remove any odours from the bathroom or building.
