Abstract

The handle of a paintbrush is inserted into a recess 3 in the holder 5 (Body A) and preferably secured in place by screws 1. A painting pole may be screwed into screw thread 7 to provide an extension for the paintbrush. The holder 5 (Body A) may be attached to a further section 8 (Body B) by a screw thread 7,13. The combined device may act as an extension piece for the paintbrush by inserting and securing a shaft, eg a sweeping brush shaft, into recess 9 in the further section 8. The holder 5 (Body A) may also be used alone to provide a sturdier handle for the paintbrush or as a vertical stand for storing the paintbrush. In a further aspect, the further section 8 (Body B) may be used alone, wherein its head is attached by screw thread 13 to a roller having a complementary screw thread and an extension shaft is secured in recess 9.

Description

1 PAINTERS PAL 2362598 This invention solves the problem of many painters
of which use a piece of string for a makeshift version of the main use of this invention. It is awkward also for older people to have to use ladders, which is then putting them at a highnsk of injury.
This will allow You to use a conventional sweeping brush shaft as an extension pole in con unction to the paintbrush being easily extended. 11 can also extend aroller using a j sweeping brush shaft or if you have a professional painting pole for rollers, this will then become -compatible -with -your-paintbrush.
Some other capabilities are as follows: It can be used to dry a paint brush and restore it to its original shape Also provides a sturdier hand grip for your paintbrush This "Painters Pal" may be -made of any suitable materials i.e. plastic, wood, metals etc. and may also be constructed of various sizes Figure 1 shows a full cross section diagram ofthe "Painters PaF' As shown in figure 1 there are two bodies, which each have their own use and then when put together serve another few uses.
When BODY A(5) is on its own, it can be used to extend a paintbrush the paintbr -using a professional painting-pole ifyou -have une available. This is done by clamping the paintbrush handle in Hole A (3)using the tightening devices (1) 0 0 0 0 0 It may also be used after cleaning a paintbrush to help the brush restore its original shape. This is done by keeping the paint brushcd in Hole A f 3) and putting the base of Body A(S) on a flat surface Body A5) may also provide a sturdier painting handle for tough painting surfaces. This is done by clamping the paintbrush in Hole A (3) Body B (8) provides an extension for a roller using 2 conventional sweepbrush shaft, which is helpful if you do not have a painting pole. This is carried out by fixing a sweep-brush shaft or something else suitable into Hole B (9) clamping using the tightening devices (1) and then screwing the head of Body B (8) into a-rollee,,wffich -accepts this fitting.
When Body A (5) and B (8) can be used together to extend a paintbrush using a conventional sweep-brush shaft which again is helpful if you -do not have a painting pole available. This is done by fixing a paintbrush into Hole A (3) and clamping using the tightening devices (1) and putting the sweep-brush shaft into Hole B (9) and tightening using the tightening devices (1) Again, Body A (5) and B (8) may provide a sturdier painting handle 2 During production a knurl (11) may be added to various parts of the invention including the tightening devices (1) and the two bodies (5)&(8) In addition, a chamfer (2) & (4) may be added to parts of the bodies, such as the edges.
